Morrisville IcePlex
The village of Morrisville is on Route 20, about 30 miles south east of Syracuse. Here are some specific directions: From the North: Take I-90 (thruway) to the Canastota exit (exit 34), take 13 south through the village of Canastota. At the stop light with route 5 go straight onto Oxbrow road. Follow this road to Petersboro. Take a left on the village of Petersboro and a quick right past the village green onto Swamp road. Follow this road to the stoplight with route 20 in the village of Morrisville (entering the village it becomes Cedar St.). Cross route 20 and onto Eaton street. Take the first left past the Elementary school and the SUNY sport fields. The Iceplex's rink is the large building to the right. [In bad weather it may better to take the Oneida exit (33 on the thruway), go south on 365 (2-3 miles), right onto route 5 east (1/2 mile), left onto 46 south (20 miles), right onto 20 east to Morrisville (5 miles). At the stoplight in Morrisville turn left onto Eaton street. Take the first left past the Elementary school and the SUNY sport fields. The rink is the second large building to the right.] From East (Albany area): In good weather route 20 is the best route (otherwise follow use the Thruway --see above). Take route 20 west until the village of Morrisville. At the stoplight in Morrisville turn left (south) onto Eaton street. Take the first left past the Elementary school and the SUNY sport fields. The rink is the second large building to the right. From West (Syracuse): From exit 3 on I-481 take 92 south-east until it dead ends in route 20, left onto 20 east to Morrisville. At the stoplight in Morrisville turn right (south) onto Eaton street. Take the first left past the Elementary school and the SUNY sport fields. The rink is the second large building to the right. From Ithaca/Cortland: take 13 north-east to a crossroads in Sheds. Then turn right onto 80 east to Georgetown. In the center of Georgetown turn left onto 26 east. In Eaton take a left onto Eaton street. Go North in Eaton street until you reach the SUNY Morrisville campus. Take a right at the campus entrance. The rink is the second large building to the right. From Binghamton: I-81 north to Cortland. Follow the above directions from Cortland
Starr Rink - Colgate University From the East (Albany, Mass.): Take I-90 west (thruway) to Utica (exit 31), take 12 south to Sangerfield, west on 20. 12B merges with 20 and just past Madison follow 12B south (left turn) to Hamilton. In Hamilton, past the third stoplight in 12B (College Street), the rink will be the second domed building to the right. From West (Buffalo, Rochester): take I-90 east (thruway) to exit 33, then west on 365 to route 5 west. Stay on 5 for about 1/2 mile and turn south (left) onto 46. Route briefly joins route 20 east and continues south to merge with 12B. Follow 12B south to Hamiton. In Hamilton, past the third stoplight in 12B (College Street), the rink will be the second domed building to the right. From Syracuse (exit 3 on I-481): 92 south-east until it dead ends into 20, left onto 20 east to 46 south, and onto 12B south to Hamilton. Follow 8 to South New Berlin and turn left onto 23 east, in Norwich turn right onto route 12 north to Sherburne, and north of the center of Sherburne bear left to 12B. Follow 12B North to Hamilton. As you enter the village of Hamilton the rink will be the first domed building to the left. From Binghamton: I-81 north a few miles to 12 north, follow 12 north to Sherburne, and north of the center of Sherburne bear left to 12B. Follow 12B North to Hamilton. As you enter the village of Hamilton the rink will be the first domed building to the left.
Alexandria Bay - Bonnie Castle Rink Take Route 81 North and get off at Exit 50N (Alexandria Bay). The Rink will be on your right as you get off the exit.
Alexandria Bay - Municipal Rink (315)482-9360 Take Route 81 North and get off at Exit 50N (Alexandria Bay). Continue on Route 12 North for 4-5 miles to a stop light. Turn left, go through the arch, and take first right onto Fulton Ave. The rink is on your left.
Auburn - Casey Park (315)253-4247 Take Route 20 West to Auburn (past Syracuse and past Skaneatleles). Take a right onto North St and a left onto Seymour St. Take Seymour St. all the way to the very end (You will see Custom Cleaners). At the end of Seymour St., take a right onto North Division St. The Casey Park Rink is approximately 1/4 mile up on North Division St. on the right
Binghamton - Chenango Ice Rink (607)648-9202 Former Polar Ice Cap Arena. Take Route 12 South to the town of Chenango (just north of Binghamton). At the junction of Route 12 and Route 12A (look for a Red Barrel Convenience Store on corner), turn left onto Route 12A. Go approximately 1 mile and look for the 4 Season's Restaurant on your left. The Polar Ice Cap Arena is behind it, next to the river and a golf course.
binghamton Broome College Camillus - Shove Park (315)487-5085 Take 481N in Dewitt and stay on the left to 690W. Go past the fairgrounds. Take the Fairmount exit (#6) onto 695. When 695 splits into Route 5 E/W, stay left to take the Route 5 East branch. Turn right at the stop light onto West Genesee Street. Go past the 4th light and turn left onto Wheadon Road (located midway between Fairmount Fair and Camillus Mall). Take your first right onto Slawson Dr. Your first left is the entrance to Shove Park.
Cicero twin rinks Take the route to Syracuse: from the Iceplex 20 to 92 to 481. Take 481 north to the 81 North exit to Watertown. Once in 81 North, take the first exit. Take a left at the stop light from the exit ramp, and then on the second stoplight (Route 11), take a right turn. The entrance to the rinks (Cicero Commons facility) is about a mile, on the left past the small airport and across from the RV dealer.
clifton park Clinton Arena (315)853-5617 Take 12B north to Clinton. Take a left on College street and a quick right onto Chenango street. Take a left turn at the end of this road onto Kirkland Avenue. The Clinton Arena will be on the right side of the road.
Cortland - Park Ice Arena of SUNY Cortland (607)753-4961 From the Hamilton area: take route 26 south through Eaton. In good weather: In West Eaton, where the road bears left go straight onto Eaton Brook Road. This road takes you to Erieville. At the stop sign/light in Erieville make a left turn onto Erieville Road and then take the first right onto Dugway Road. This road will meet with Route 13 at a stop sign in Sheds. Take Route 13 into Cortland. An alternate route in bad weather is to stay on 26 to Georgetown and make a right onto 80 and then left onto 13 at the stop sign in Sheds. From Nelson and in good weather: take Erieville Road to Erieville. Proceed as explained above. From Cazenovia: Take ROute 13 South all the way to Cortland, or Route 20 to 81 South to Cortland. When in Cortland, follow route 13 to down town. Go about 1-2 miles past the downtown stoplight. The rink entrance will be the right turn just before the railroad tracks. The Park Ice Arena of SUNY Cortland is to the left.
Cortland JM McDonald Sports Complex Driving Instructions: Complex is located at the end of Carroll St. off of Homer Ave. (US-11). From I-81 South or North: I-81 to US-11/Rt-41/Rt-90 (exit 12). Bear right onto US-11/NY-41 (Homer Ave.) and proceed south approx. 1 mile to Carroll Street. Turn right on Carroll St. and watch for complex on the right. From Rt-281 Northbound: Rt-281 north to Fisher Ave. (north edge of Cortland, approx. 3 miles past Rt-13/Rt-281 split). Turn right on Fisher Ave. and proceed east approx. 0.25 mile to Fairgrounds Dr. (1st right). Turn right on Fairgrounds Dr. and watch for complex on the left. From Rt-281 Southbound: Rt-281 to Fisher Ave. (north edge of Cortland, approx. 1.25 miles past Rt-90). Turn left on Fisher Ave. and proceed east approx. 0.25 mile to Fairgrounds Dr. (1st right). Turn right on Fairgrounds Dr. and watch for complex on the left
Elmira - First Arena (Coach USA Center) Go South to Elmira. (1) If you go via Binghamton, take Route 17 West. From Route 17 take Exit 56 and continue west on Church Street until you reach Main Street. Turn left on Main Street; the arena will be a block ahead on your right. (2) Go to Elmira via route 13 (through Cortland and Ithaca). When you reach route 17 go East on 17. Take Exit 56 and go west on Church Street until you reach Main Street. Turn left on Main Street; the arena will be a block ahead on your right on the corner with Gray Street.
Elmira College (607)739-8768 Take Route 5 West to Auburn. Turn left onto Route 34 South to Ithaca. Take Route 13 South to Route 17 West to Horseheads. Turn right at the Route 14 North signs. Go approximately 4 miles on Route 14 North, past the State Troopers Office. The twin domes of Murray Athletic Center of Elmira College are on the right. **If you see signs for Millport, you have gone too far. Go back 1/4 mile.
Fulton Community Center (315)598-5379 Go toward Syracuse and take 481N and follow it until you get to Fulton. Make a left turn onto Route 3 (West Broadway). Continue down the road past the railroad tracks. The Fulton Community Center rink is on the left.
Geneva Recreation Center (315)798-5005 Take the Thruway West to the Geneva exit (#42). Go through toll booth and at the traffic light, make a right turn onto Route 14. Go straight into Geneva. Continue straight through the town about 4-5 traffic lights to the end (Exchange St). Go straight and you will see the Geneva Recreation Center rink on the right side of the road. The lake is on the left.
Ithaca - Cass Park Go to Cortland (see directions above). Stay on Route 13 past Cortland toward Ithaca. Once you reach Ithaca, you will take a right turn onto Route 96 North. Go approximately 3 blocks (over the railroad tracks and bridge that covers the river). At the traffic light, you will make a sharp right turn onto Route 89 (Taughannock Blvd.). Follow the road in and the rink is on the right hand side of the road along the lake.
Ithaca - Lynah Rink Go to Cortland (see directions above). Stay on Route 13 past Cortland toward Ithaca. As you approach Ithaca, just past the New York State Electric and Gas Office building, turn left onto Route 366. Go on Route 366 for 3.8 miles to traffic light. Go straight through traffic light across Gorge Bridge (don't follow Route 366 down hill to Village). Go to stop sign and take a right on Campus Road. Lynch Rink is on left side of the road past football stadium.
Ithaca - The Rink (607)277-7465 Go to Cortland (see directions above). Stay on Route 13 past Cortland toward Ithaca. Go past the airport and turn right onto Triphammer Road until you meet Route 34. Turn left onto Route 34 South. Follow Route 34 South. At stop light, take a left to continue on Route 34 South. Rink is about 1 mile down on the left on Shore Rd.
Lysander-Radisson (315)635-1555 Take Route 690 West to the traffic light (where it becomes Route 48) and take a right on Hencle Boulevard. Continue straight. You will come to 2 stop signs. The rink is on the left just past the second stop sign.
Midstate (315)487-6422 Take 481N in Dewitt, stay on the left onto 690W. Take the New York State Fairgrounds exit (Bridge St). Take a right onto State Fair Boulevard. The Coliseum (rink) is to the left.
midstate Colliseum fairgrounds New Hartford Take route 20 east. Make a left turn in Madison Ave to Waterville. Take a left onto Route 12 north. Stay on 12 North. (The Paris Hill shortcut is trickier now so this directions take you the "sure" way.) Stay on 12 until you get to the stop light in New Hartford. Take a right onto Genesee Street. At the stop light before the Route 8 overpass take a right onto Oxford Road and a quick left onto Mill Street. You will also see signs for the entrance ramp to Route 8. The rink is to the right, just before the entrance to Route 8.
Onondaga Nation Rink/Nedrow Driving Instructions: From the North: Take I-81 south to exit 16 (Onondaga Nation Territory) and turn right. The rink is the first large building on the right side of the road. The sign on the building says "Tsha' Hon'nonyen'dakhwa' which is Indian for "where they play games".(note: you can avoid heavier traffic in the city of Syracuse by using the route 481 bypass which circles around the city and rejoins route 81 south just before exit 16). From the South: Take I-81 north to exit 16 (Onondaga Nation Territory) and turn left. The rink is the first large building on the right side of the road. The sign on the building says "Tsha' Hon'nonyen'dakhwa' which is Indian for "where they play games". From the East: Take the NY Thruway (route 90) to exit 34a (route 481). Take route 481 south to route 81 south. Take exit 16 (Onondaga Nation Territory) and turn right. The rink is the first large building on the right side of the road. The sign on the building says "Tsha' Hon'nonyen'dakhwa' which is Indian for "where they play games". From the West: Take the NY Thruway (route 90) to exit 36 (route 81). Take route 81 south to exit 16 (Onondaga Nation Territory) and turn right. The rink is the first large building on the right side of the road. Oswego - Cullinan (Kingsford Park Rink) Go toward Syracuse and take 481N and follow it until you get to Fulton. Take a left onto Route 3, cross the bridge and turn right onto Route 48 (1st St). Follow Route 48 into Oswego. You will see a lumber yard sign. Just before lumber yard, make a left turn onto Niagara St. Go approximately 3-4 blocks and the rink is on the left behind a school.
Oswego - Fort (Crisafulli Rink) Go toward Syracuse and take 481N and follow it until you get to Oswego. Take a right turn onto Route 104 East. Go approximately 9 blocks to 9th Street and take a left turn. Go approximately 3 blocks down 9th Street and the rink is on the left hand side of the road.
Oswego - Romney (Oswego State College Campus) Go toward Syracuse and take 481N and follow it until you get to Oswego. Take a left onto Route 104 West (E. Bridge St.). You will come to a fork in the road. Bear left at the fork. Turn left when you come to the Oswego College entrance (which is to the right --do not turn right!). Rink will be down a little way on your left next to the field house.
Pulaski (Salmon River) (315)298-3015 Take 81 North to Pulaski exit (#36). At the stop sign, take a left turn. Go to the second traffic light in Pulaski, and take a right turn onto Route 11. You will pass by some businesses. Go around a sharp bend in the road to the next traffic light. At the second traffic light, take a right turn onto Maple Avenue. Go approximately 1/2 mile down the road until the road veers to the left. Bear to the right before the bend and the Haldane Memorial Building rink will be on your right. Alternate way: take the route to Rome. Take 69N in Rome to Camden. In Camden take route 13N to Pulaski.
Rome (Kennedy Arena) (315)3397768 From Hamilton take Madison Avenue north onto Lake Moraine road and follow the road all the way to Madison (South street). Continue at the stop sign with route 20 (North street) up to the Old Solsville Hotel. Take a right and then bear left onto Augusta Road. The road will end in Route 26. Take a left onto 26N and to Route 365 East (Turning Stone exit). Take 365 East directly into town (about 10 miles). Look for Route 69 West (Rome). Stay to the left. From Route 69 West take a right turn onto Jay Street. There will be a blue sign "Kennedy Arena". Go about 3 blocks and the Kennedy Arena is on the left side of the road. From points East (Cazenovia, Canastota) you can go to Oneida and get onto Route 46. Take Route 46 all the way to Rome. Take a right onto Erie Blvd. Take a left turn onto Jay Street. There will be a blue sign "Kennedy Arena". Go about 3 blocks and the Kennedy Arena is on the left side of the road.
Skaneateles (315)685-7757 Take route 20W all the way to Skaneateles. Make a right turn onto Jordan Street. Allyn Rink is located at the intersection of Jordan Road and Austin Street.
Syracuse War Memorial Take highway 690W from the 481 loop around Syracuse. Two ways: (1) Take exit 13 to Townsend Street (sign says "Downtown"). Make left turn at the stoplight at the end of the exit ramp. Go straight a few stoplights (about six blocks) and turn right in Harrison Street. The War Memorial is straight ahead and the oprn parking lot is to your left. (2) Take the West Street exit, to South West Street. Take a left at the 5th light onto Shonnard St., which turns into East Adams. At the 7th light turn left onto South State Street. The War Memorial will be to the left, with parking to the right.
Utica Auditorium Take route 12N. Follow the signs to to to the train station in Utica: 1st right after the main stoplight in Utica. Then left. The Utica Memorial Auditorium will be on your left as you enter the main avenue, Oriskany Street.
Valley - Burnett Rink Valley - Meachem Rink (315)492-0179 Take route 20 to Cazenovia, then 92 to Manlius. In Manlius go straight through the second stop light in Manlius (the intersection where Burger King is). This is route 173. Stay on route 173 (Seneca Turnpike). After some ways you will come to Nob Hill Apartments on your left. Route 173 turns left there. Follow 173 down a steep hill. Go approximately two blocks and Meachem Rink will be on the left just past Salina Street.
Watertown (315)785-7836 Take Route 81 North to Watertown. Get off at Exit 46 (Coffeen Street). Take a right off the exit, and the Fairgrounds rink is on your left about a quarter to a half mile down the road.
Whitestown (315)736-6047 Take 12B North to the left turn to Hamilton College (Route 233, Harding Rd). At the stop sign go straight onto Bristol Road. Take a right when you reach Route 5. Take a left on Robinson Road, next to the the miniature golf place. Go straight for a few miles. At a fork bear left onto Westmoreland Road. The Whitestown Community Center rink will be on the left.
