Team-mate Comments:

So much enthusiasim, not afraid to put the team on his shoulders and run with it. Pure Celtic as a player and a coach. And always missed. RIP.

The heart and soul of the team over the first few years. Enough said.

I'd love to say he was a consumate pro athlete, but he wasn't. Bloody good though, and the personification of the Celtics. Surely the HoF was invented for men like Karl.

Karl lived for the Celtics, oozed enthusiasm for the game, and was a true friend to many involved with the club during his too-short life.

Sadly never played with him but saw him play and don't think anybody else has given more to the team.

Irreplaceable leader, inspirational on the pitch, luckily played miles better than he danced.

You don't even need to explain why, what a bloke, never forgotten

Player Comments:

Hit like a train, bought into the whole Celtic Year 1 experience on and off the pitch with incredible modesty that his playing ability wouldn't have brought out in most.

Was in my mind the single most complete player I have seen play in the BCAFL

Only here for our debut season but inspirational on and off the pitch.

Player Comments:

Without whom the whole Celtic family wouldn't have been born and we wouldn't be having this debate.

Started the team in 1989 and coached us through to the semis in our first season.

For having the vision, drive and ability to execute to start the team.
Coached Celtics to semis in first season and then to CB VII in 1993.

Quarterback and Defensive End

Player Comments:

Strong leader, easy to coach and a smart QB. Not to mention a tough linebacker and d-lineman.

Lead like nobody else, gave years to the team, besides how many QBs can layout DBs while on a QB sneak?!

One of the most versatile and talented players I played with and watched in the BCAFL.

Chris could have played my position better than me, as well as every other one. Over the near decade he was at Leeds he probably did. Already a BCAFL Hall of Famer and a multi year GB Bulldog, surely a year one Hall of Famer.

In the BCAFL Hall of Fame Founding Class

Amazing player, great leader. Played forever and everywhere.

Great linebacker, fantastic defensive end, and super QB. Great team player.

Comments: May speak a different language but years of service and support. gave leeds the magical edge that saw others fear us coz we werent all stoooodents!

Most people couldn't understand him but we loved him even more for it.

Sometimes even I didn't understand him, but couldn't have done the things we did without him. And he still there working his magic.

10 years + as a coach is incredible, and giving up your time for the love of the Celtics deserves recognition.

What a guy, say no more, a good coach, a top laugh & pure Celtic through & through.....

Long selfless service, a truly hard man who often set the tone in practice by taking part in scrimmages unkitted. Responsible for my most painful moment in the game.

I heard he was an animal back in the day!

for being a great coach, and instilling passion and agression into the teams I played on. 'Feel that stretch' goes through my head every time I warm up. Alwys gets me going.

Another old school name and still Celtic, pure dedication gets my vote.

Comments: One of the most aggressive players to come out of the celtics who also put in great work on a commitee level as well saving the team from near extinction! Also was a committed coach part of the staff when i joined the team helping myself and others to fall in love with beating on other teams!

Love the man, would play even though it'd kill him in the week, brought alot of fire with him to LB as he did to coaching. He taught me alot as I watch him turn into a great O coach. When the Uni did its split job, he really pulled and saved the club. Another MR CELTIC.

10 years + as players/coaches/administrators is incredible, and giving up your time for the love of the Celtics deserves recognition.

He's an animal as well

i would like to nominate on a coaching theme some that have played and continued to coach always with enthusiasm and intensity.

Great player, great coach. Spent a lot of time coaching me and taught me as much as Orlando. Great motivational bolluckings, especially when the tooth fell out and for a shared hatred of Marcus. Made the 03-05 O-line what it was. Gave so much to the team as many people here have already explained.

Excellent player and coach and did a lot for the celtics both on and off the pitch.

for long standing service (coaching and playing)

Comments: Bulldog, bcafl champ, leader on and off field. years of service. cant remember a snap count!

Technically sound, the brains of a great O-line. The best Centre in the league in the mid-late nineties. Also a very good RB and D lineman. Was coaching us long before he retired as a player (ran out of educational options). Not the most patient though!

Was a great player in so many different positions. Good leader, always gave it his all and a great coach. Also, one of the happiest drunks I've met. A true Celtic.

Player, captain, coach, GB bulldog from before even I joined and still going strong (well going anyway), besides any center playing fullback that hunts down safeties gets my vote!

Quite simply, the man who set the standard for the Celtics O-Line during his time. Strong, quick and brave and a sucessful multi-time GB Bulldogger. Suffered with selective snap-count amnesia and also from saturday morning loose genitalia.........

i would like to nominate on a coaching theme some that have played and continued to coach always with enthusiasm and intensity.

Defensive Co-ordinator and Head Coach

Player Comments:

- Firstly, Orlando Weekes. In nearly 18 years of sport, I have never met a coach who has put himself second to the team as much as Landy. Whether he was studying tape after tape of game time, or missing medical appointments(!!) the Celtics were put first. He's also the first coach to knock me out, the worst bit of which was waking up again to find him screaming at me for doing something wrong. And we love him for that.

- Lando - Everybody else says for the coaching - I say for the following as well:
1) The coach journeys back
2) Getting the sponsorship in the early days - and for the Sunday nights in the Newlands after the games !
3) For the cookies
4) For rescuing me when I was stuck in the freezer in the Penrith services after the 95 Conference final win at Glasgow.........

Does it need justification? Who else could've convinced poeple to wreck their bodies while making it fun?

Inspirational, talented, uber-coach. Why was getting hurt fun? 'Coz Landy made it fun.
