LEAGUE REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Registration Open for Fall Ball 2015

Registration for the Fall 2015 season is now open through August 31st.  The cost is $80 per player with a $10 sibling discount if registered at the same time.  Please note, the sibiling discount will not be taken off the oldest child, just the additional siblings that are registered at the same time.  Click on the "Registration" tab to the left for details.

The $80 fee includes a shirt and hat, and each team will receive a minimum of eight (8) games.  This season, we are allowing players to choose their jersey number.  Numbers are based on availability and are given on a first to register, first served basis.  All players will need to provide their own baseball pants, socks, and belt.  Players also need to provide their own glove and cleats (cleats are optional in tee ball).

Details on the schedule for Fall Ball 2015 (practices, game days/nights) will be available by August 15th.  Our goal is to start practice after Labor Day, and begin games starting the week of September 14th.

Modification for Minors Fall Ball

Please note that Minors Fall Ball will operate a little differently in the fall.  With the goal of focusing on all- around player development, the following rules will be added:

  • Kids will pitch, but a walk will not be awarded on the fourth ball pitched to a batter.
  • After a fourth ball pitched to a batter, one of the coaches from the batting team will step on the mound and throw to the batter.
  • The amount of pitches a coach throws is determined on how many strikes the batter has prior to the coach taking the mound.  For example, if the count is 3 balls and 1 strike, and the kid pitcher throws the fourth ball, the coach of the batting team takes the mound and can throw up to two (2) pitches to the batter.
  • The pitches thrown by the coach count as strikes regardless if the batter swings.
  • A batter can be awarded additional pitches if they foul off the potential third strike.
  • Unless the potential third strike is fouled off, the maximum amount of pitches a coach should thrown to any batter during an at-bat would be three (3).

This modification is being implemented to encourage more action in the game, lower pitch counts, and avoid having a game where batters are constantly walked the entire game.  While this may have helped pitchers develop for the spring season, it was not helping the development of the batters and fielders for the spring season.  This modification is for 2015 Fall Ball only, and will not be in effect for the Spring 2016 season.  The local rules for Fall Ball Minors will distributed to coaches prior to the season starting for reference.
