Synergy at MSSL College Showcase
We travelled to Central New Jersey in late November for our first showcase. On a bitter cold Sunday we took on Jersey Knights and Jersey United. Our defense was solid all day long. We lost in the morning to the Knights. In the afternoon we edged United 1-0. We scored late off a set piece. Caitlin took the free kick near the right touchline; she served a textured ball that Christine ran onto and struck first time into the back of the net. Well done, Synergy!

Synergy Concludes Strong PAGS Season in '08
In the U15 Championship Division, the CDSA Synergy went 7-2-1 and tied for second place with HMMS. Cali was awesome in her first full season in the goal. The back line of Miranda, Melissa M, Melissa G, and Caitlin were rock solid. Bridget was equally effective in the back and as a "collector". Our primary collectors (center mids) were Zoey and Madie. They won so many balls it was amazing. The outside mids were everywhere: Pipp, Tere', Brianna, Cara and Courtney. The new formation paid dividens with Casey and Christine up top.
An astonishing 19 of our 24 goals were assisted! Leading scorers: Christine (8), Casey (4) and Pipp (3). Nine players scored. Casey led in assists (6) with Zoey and Tere' adding 3 each. Madie had the goal of the season heading in a textured corner in the rain at USTC. Bri collected her first 2 assists as a Synergy player. Your school coaches will be happy to see the Synergy girls this spring (except, of course, as opponents!).

CDSA Synergy Are Pittsgrove Champions!

After settling for finalist hardware the last two years, the girls claimed the upper bracket championship in 2006. Caitlin made a debut of sorts as a field player and was superb in goal on Sunday.
Our new players really stepped up for us. Cali was strong in the net and scored the game winner against W. Deptford (2-1), finishing a lovely run and cross from Tere'. In that game, Cara scored her first Synergy goal touching in Pipp's corner. Melissa G. and Bridget H. were magnificent throughout their first tournament as Synergy defenders.
Our second game on Saturday was a 2-2 draw against Marlton. We dominated possession in this game. Madie equalized for us in the second half and Miranda nearly won it with a late blast just over the bar.
Sunday morning brought another classic with Atlantic United. Christine found Stef's feet with a pinpoint pass just inside the box late in the second half. A quick settle and blast put us up 1-0. The second half was intense. Zoey was spectacular in the back as was Dylan, Bridget C. and Libby in preserving our second consecutive shutout of a dangerous midfield unit.
A 4-2 win over Windsor sealed the deal. Stefanie had two goals, Miranda had a goal and two assists from right mid and Melissa M. and Christine distributed well in the attack.
The PAGS opener for Synergy is Sept. 10 at Berks S. A.
