Spring 2008: Synergy players and coaches
The CDSA Synergy girls are MASL champions for the third time in four years! This time we set the pace in a bracket including teams a year older. Our record was 5-1 as we conceded just two goals. Pipp was our leading scorer (3) and Tere' had the most assists (3). All but one of our goals was assisted. Losing Miranda and Caitlin to injury late in the season held us back in State Cup. Nevertheless, we had an outstanding spring.
Synergy Concludes Strong PAGS Season in '08
In the U15 Championship Division, the CDSA Synergy went 7-2-1 and tied for second place with HMMS. Cali was awesome in her first full season in the goal. The back line of Miranda, Melissa M, Melissa G, and Caitlin were rock solid. Bridget was equally effective in the back and as a "collector". Our primary collectors (center mids) were Zoey and Madie. They won so many balls it was amazing. The outside mids were everywhere: Pipp, Tere', Brianna, Cara and Courtney. The new formation paid dividens with Casey and Christine up top.
An astonishing 19 of our 24 goals were assisted! Leading scorers: Christine (8), Casey (4) and Pipp (3). Nine players scored. Casey led in assists (6) with Zoey and Tere' adding 3 each. Madie had the goal of the season heading in a textured corner in the rain at USTC. Bri collected her first 2 assists as a Synergy player. Your school coaches will be happy to see the Synergy girls this spring (except, of course, as opponents!).
