U11/U12 GIRLS Region I Development Mini Camp
We would like to invite all U11/U12 Girls that are playing with a Delaware Club Team to Join us for a Free All Day Session with Region I ODP - We have limited spots available, so we will only be taking the first 48 players to register.
(Note – Girls that are already participating with ODP will attend the camp with their ODP Teams, Please do not sign up for this Camp)

Attached you will find the Medical Release form that MUST be filled out and return to Mary Ann McKenna in order to attend. You can email it to the address above or bring it with you that day. YOU MUST HAVE THE RELEASE TO PARTAKE IN EVENT.
The purpose of this program is to provide the players and their parents a taste of the ODP experience.The following is an example of the day’s schedule:
9-9:15am Staff Introductions, Parent and Players Orientation:
The National Team Program, US Youth Soccer ODP and Region 1 Girls ODP
Field:
9:15-9:40am warm up
A series of buildup activities that consists of an introduction to the benefits of Dynamic Movements and Flexibility, interspersed with ball movements in a technical games.
9:45-11:45am 4v4 Small sided games circuit:
Players will be scrambled into "training pods" and will rotate from station to station every 10-15 minutes with a 3-5 minute active rest period in between (fitness component). A Regional Coach, and when available a State Team Coach, will be assigned to each station.
Examples of SSG Stations (4v4 GK Game; 4v4 Line Soccer; 4 Goal Game; Transition Game; 4v4 with long narrow field)
12-1pm Lunch:
1:15-1:40pm:
Technical warm up similar to the morning and also stressing 1v1 moves etc.
1:45-2:30pm Round Robin 7v7/8v8 Games:
3 matches; players are re-scrambled; teams are formed and are rotated every 20 minutes with an extra game at the end. Each game will have a different theme for example, choose your own formation; a goal coming off of one touch is worth double; all up and back; modified offside line etc.
2:30-3pm cool down:
Juggling circuit; demo on proper static stretching and its value and benefits; strength games and exercises; wrap up with discussion on proper hydration, nutrition and rest.

United Sports will be running Soccer Holiday Camps on Dec 29th & 30th from 9am-3pm. Curriculum is different each day to ensure players attending both are not being taught the same drills. The GK training is on both dates as well as the "Attacking Play & Finishing" camps for the field players. The 2009 U-12 Girls Turf Festival is hosted by Yardley-Makefield Soccer and is intended to provide teams with pre-season, state cups or tournament warm-up games on the YMS newly installed turf field. United Sports will be holding a Holiday Touchline Indoor Tournament December 31st, 2008. Please join us for a great day of soccer.
Age Groups: Male & Female
8am-12pm U09 & U10 Male & Female
9am-1pm U11 & U12 Male & Female
10am-2pm U13 & U14 Male & Female
11am-3pm U15 & U16 Male & Female
When: December 31, 2008, 8am-3pm. Age groups will be scheduled together in an approximate 3.5-hour block.
Game Info: All teams are guaranteed 3, 20-minute games. U12 and below 7v7, 6 field players + 1 goalie. U13 and above 6v6, 5 field players + 1 goalie
Cost: $200 per team
