2. The Junior Division team should be made up of 2010 league age 13 year olds.  Depending on the number of kids registered, there will be a Junior Gold division team and a Juniors Silver division team. The Juniors Gold division is a manager selected wood bat league. Juniors Silver is a metal bat league made up of players not on the manager selected team. The goal is to play this division on modified size fields (54 foot pitching distance/80 foot base paths).  The players will learn how to lead off, pitchers will learn how to hold runners on and learn what constitutes a balk. Players will also learn how and when to run on a dropped 3rd strike.  This development in the fall will help with the player advancement to play on the larger regulation size field in the Junior Division in 2010.  Schedule and # of game s to be determined.  It is planned to have umpires assigned to these games.
