  History

Coeur d' Alene Crush ASA Fastpitch Softball
Coeur d' Alene Crush was formed by Brian and Kathy Stranger in 1993, to provide the girls between the ages of 10 and 18 the opportunity to play softball at the highest levels possible. Coeur d' Alene Crush will continue to develop the young ladies participating in our program into the finest young citizens that Kootenai County has to offer. Our players will strive to be role models for their peers and good ambassadors for Coeur d' Alene as we play fastpitch softball throughout the Northwest.

U-10 Team goes to Regionals
First year team with great heart but not alot of pitching depth. We won one game at Regionals in Seattle area. It was a very exciting game with our U-14 team showing up at our game after they were eliminated and cheering us back to win. We were then eliminated after three games.

New U-10 Team to Western Zone Nationals
Restructured team by asking girls from local ASA league ( Girls Softball Association of North Idaho ) GSANI to play. The girls did exceptionally well considering there was only two returning players from last years team. Crush won the Regional "B" Tourney that was held in Spokane Washington. After dominating the teams by a combined score of 99-4 we went to the Western Zone Nationals in Aurora Colorado. The teams there were the best we had seen this season and ended up losing two seeding games by scores of 2-1 and 6-1 to a couple of California teams. We then beat the Sunrise Sonics out of Las Vegas Nevada by a score of 12-0 but met up with eventual Champions Cypress and lost 14-0. The following game I thought we had a chance but were shutout by Visalia Spirits 8-0. Great year and we all learned a great deal and will make us better next year. Thank you to all the Sponsors that helped us achieve our goals this season!

Crush wins 1st of new Century
Coeur d' Alene Crush U-12 won the Spokane U-12 Tournament by defeating Moses Lake Blaze by a score of 5-1 in the Championship game. The victory came after losing to the Blaze the day before by a score of 4-1. Next up is a tournament in Moses Lake. Great job girls and it was sure cool to see that Heather Helmhout was Athlete of the Week for the Coeur d' Alene Press after pitching a no hitter, perfect game, and finishing up the weekend with a 1 hitter in the Championship Game.
