The Results of the 3rd to 8th grade Sectional Championship Meet from Sunday April 29th are available under the handouts link. Please review the results and any athlete who placed first, second or third qualifies for the Diocese Championship next weekend, Friday May 11th for the 1600 and the 800 at Logan High School 6:30 PM start, or Saturday May 12th for all the other events at Granada High School in Livermore 8:30 AM start. It is important that all athletes who qualified please confirm with me that you will be attending. If you cannot make the meet, please send me an email and our section will substitue the alternate (4th place finisher). All Qualifiers should attend Saturday practice.
The K-2nd grade Sectional Championship is Sunday May 6th followed by a fun meet for all athletes. We will not have any relay team for K-2 so all athletes can arrive at noon. This is a good opportunity for qualifiers to get a timed run in.
The team party is this Sunday May 6th at 5:30 PM in the St. Augustine Church Hall located at 3999 Bernal Ave. All the field event awards will be made available at the party. There will be pizza, ice cream, soda, cookies and chips (all the healthy food groups required for a fun meal). Please attend if possible.
Practices for the the 2012 Catholic Community of Pleasanton (CCOP) Track and Field Program are held each week @ 5:00 PM on Tuesday and Thursday at Hart Middle School. The practices last for one hour (please note we may be running around Lacrosse practice). The practice on Saturday is @ 1:00 PM Foothill High School.
Please be aware that the restrooms at both locations will most likely be locked so please plan accordingly. For new parents, please look at the overview document under handouts for information related to the program. It should provide you with the information you need to understand the program. If you have any questions please contact: Mark Worrell @ mworrell@sbcglobal.net or via phone @ 925-426-5375.
I'm looking forward to a fun, safe and and challenging track and field season.
