SEASON UPDATE

We are planning a two day at Choke Canyon in May and the start of the Jr. Bassmasters season will be April 5th. Keep an eye on the calender for other upcoming events including a Jackpot Open and a golf tournament.  We are still gaining new members at the rate of two or three a month and are looking forward to a great year! Membership is still open and boaters and non-boaters are welcome.  Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Lil Tex in Copperas Cove at 7:00 PM.

News and Updates

Copperas Cove Bass Club would like to thank Dutch for the work he has done as Secretary of the club.  We would also like to wish him the best in the future and safe travel to his new duty station in Virginia.  Thank you for your service to the club and to our Great Nation. 

As of 07April2009 Jimmy McPherren will be replacing Dutch as Secretary. 

Please continue to check the website for upcoming news and events.  Membership is still open for boaters as well as non-boaters.  We have bimonthly meetings at Lil' Tex in Copperas Cove on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month please feel free to come and join us.

Lake Waco Updated Results

The fishin on Lake Waco was tuff with 18MPH sustained winds and gusts up to 30MPH.  Johnny Hull however managed to bring in 4 fish for 9lbs even, taking 1st Place.  He also weighed in #1 Big Bass for the tournament at 4.7lbs.  Dave Cimmino and Pete Garza brought in 1 fish each for 1.15lbs to tie for 2nd Place and #2 Big Bass.  Nineteen members competed bringing in 13 fish for a total weight of 24.11lbs.

Choke Canyon Bound
The club is gearing up to head to Choke Canyon this weekend for our second away tournament of the year.  With many ShareLunker bass comin off of Choke, this weekend ought to prove to be interesting at least.  The club would also like to thank Buck for gettin us a sponsor for this tournament.  Fish hard, stay safe and good luck.
