The purpose of this site is to provide on-line news and services for Calvert County American Little League (CCALL).  Explore all of the CCALL website including calendar, schedules, news updates, and weather cancellations (Weather Canx) to get up to date information.

Over 500 Calvert American Little League players, family and friends attended the Bowie Baysox game on May 4 and received a taste of what it's like to be a real minor leaguer. League president Paul Barham's son, Zach, threw out the first pitch while the minor 9-10 boys team managed by Dan Kletter, stood on the field with the Baysox during the national anthem and hung out in the dogout with the Baysox players.

CCALL has scheduled the annual end-of-the-year party for June 21st at Hallowing Point Park from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.!

There will be lots of fun, food and baseball/softball.  A coaches softball game will be played in the morning 9:00 a.m. for all the players to go out and yell those standard Little League lines like "Keep your eye on the Ball!", "Hit the ball!", and "Throw Strikes!"  Coaches need to contact Brian Owens to sign up (bowens@boatus.com).

The Calvert County American Little League has new boundaries approved for the 2008 season.  Although the boundaries are not simple "zip code" breakdowns, the attached document will allow parents/players to determine their proper Little League.

The importance of playing within the proper Little League boundaries can not be over stated.  Our All-Star teams could be disqualified from tournament play or even worse, your son/daughter may be ineligible to participate in tournament team selection and play which is to most kids the pinnacle of Little League -- playing in nationally televised games on a professionally manicured diamond.

Calvert County American Little League is always looking for additonal volunteers to help in managing and administering the league.  Qualifications include:  Time, Good Attitude, Willingness to Serve, Time, Hospitable Personality, and lastly so it's not forgotten TIME.  Our League is not perfect but considering it's run strictly by volunteers, we do manage to run a PERFECT volunteer organization dedicated to youth baseball and softball!!  If you are interested in volunteering please call Paul Barham at 240-417-3820.
