The Titans earned a gutsy win over the Continental Conference champion Patriots, rallying from a deficit to win game four and going on to earn the win in the fifth and deciding game.
“It was an exciting night at South tonight,” Titans coach Ulana Keer said. “It was the battle of the CB teams like no other.
“I want to congratulate East on their title. It is well deserved. I know they did not have their libero, which is a huge problem, but on the flip side, we have struggled with non-stop injuries over the last week. It has been challenging, but with that said, we had fun tonight.”
Keer went on to laud the performances of several players.
“Jax Babezki played huge, blocked and served well for us – never let the team down,” the Titans’ coach said. “Madi Conroy fought hard for every point. Cecilia Miller was very consistent in serve receive and hitting a great ball for us.
“Taylor Danilowicz bounced back from her injury to get kills for us, and Lindsey Edling played great defense and served well in the fourth and fifth games. Caitlyn McCrory served well and dug well. Larissa Keer was the rock in defense and kept the team alive when we were struggling.”

For the Patriots, setter Lauren Helveston had 51 assists. Her favorite targets were Bridget Terrel (15 kills), Rachel Clow (13 kills) and Hannah Lunak (11 kills). Helveston also had four service aces. Terrell and Laura Kennedy each had 10 digs while Clow had nine. Nicole Krzeminski had a team-high 14 digs. Lindsay McIntosh had five kills and two blocks.
