Mandatory Parents Meeting

The first parents meeting for the 2010 season will be held at South on Thursday, 10/15. This is a mandatory meeting which Dan Lorenz and his staff will discuss their plans for this year. The parents association will also provide information on the spirit packs, fund raising plans, along with equipment, and clothing purchase info. Please keep this night open for this important meeting to start the season.

NOVA Food Drive I'd like to thank everyone for the wonderful turnout for the first holiday food drive to benefit NOVA. We collected 4 full cartons of food which I will drop off at NOVA headquarters tomorrow. In addition I'd like to remind everyone there will be a collection next Wed. 11/18 after open gym. Mrs. Condon will be available in the parking lot to collect. The third and final collection date will be in the beginning of December. Thank you again, you guys are great! Kathleen Corcoran Also a reminder that we need 280 orders for the hoagies before we can place an order. Mrs. Villanueva will be at the open gym on 11/18. Thanks for your support. NOVA (Network of Victim Assistance) Food Drive The boys will again be participating in a community outreach program this year. We are going to gather food items to provide approximately 10-15 holiday baskets for families in need. We hope that everyone participates to the best of their ability to make this food drive a success. We would like to collect the food in the following groups:

9th Graders Stove Top Stuffing Mix Cans of Cranberry Sauce Boxes/Bags of muffin or roll mix (not refrigerated type)

10th & 12th Graders Boxes ofMashed Potatoes/Au Gratin Potatoes Jars of Gravy (Turkey/Brown) Boxes of Dessert Mix (brownies, cake)

11th Graders Cans of Vegetables (String Beans, Corn, Peas) Boxes of Hot Chocolate Mix Cans/Boxes of Soup

FIRST COLLECTION DATE: NOVEMBER 11TH AFTER WED. NIGHT OPEN GYM.

There will be two additional collection dates (12/2 and 3rd TBD) - reminders will follow.
