CB South Lacrosse Community,Below is the list (broken down by team) for fall ball. All players must register at www.pennsburylacrosse.comIf you are on this list, please follow this link and register. In the team name field, put either CB South Varsity or CB South JV. There should be information there about payment and schedules. If you have questions that are not answered at this site, please let me know. Also, if you are not on this list and would like to play you can register at the site as well. If you are a junior or senior and not on the list, register as CB South Varsity. If you are a Freshman or Sophomore and not on the list, register as CB South JV. Pennsbury Fall League Info We have had such a great turnout for fall league they had to split us into three team (Great start to the 2010 season!!!) I divided the list up into the three teams. Unfortunately, I do not know too many of the freshman, other than by name, so I did have to put some of you on Varsity 2 randomly. If there is a concern about size or skill level, please let me know and I’ll switch you with someone from the JV team. Incase it doesn’t copy well, I’ll attach the excel document. If you are not on this list it is because you are not registered at www.pennsburylacrosse.com . Follow the link and register if you are interested in playing. Finally, if you did not pay when you registered, make sure you bring a check to the first game.

Here is the official off season work out schedule:

The first open gym will be Wednesday, October 14th from 7:00 – 9:00 in the Aux gym at South. We will meet every Wednesday that school is in session until the start of the spring season (March 8th). This is a full equipment workout. If you don’t have all of your own gear, come anyway with what you have. You can borrow what you need for that night from another player. If you have an extra helmet or gloves, please bring them for others to borrow for the night.

The first Weight room session will be on Monday, October 19th. We have the weight room from right after school until 4:00. Get there as soon as you can. 9th graders can take the South bus from their middle school. On the 19th, coach Brown will be there to go over lifting routines that are developed for enhancing lacrosse skills for the players who are new to South. I will talk more about this at the first open gym. We will also have the weight room on Wednesday nights from 6:00 – 7:00 starting Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Weekly schedule:

Monday’s: Lifting 2:30 – 4:00

Wednesday’s: Lifting 6:00 – 7:00 then open gym 7:00 – 9:00

One more message on the Flemington Winter League We are 2 names away from entering a team (Flemington will allow us to enter a team with 18). Last week I did not have my flash drive with me when I got some emails about players wanting to play so I’m asking everyone to check this list very closely to make sure I have it correct. I may have left a name or two off the list. Let me know if you should be on the list as soon as you can. Thanks for your time. Latest Update on the Flemington Winter League We are very close to the number of players we need to get into the Flemington league. If you have not let me know about Flemington yet but can play please let me know by Friday (3:00). I understand that some 9th grade players are concerned about playing on the varsity squad, but we will be in a division that is set up for mixed JV / VAR players. The cost has been brought down to $200 thanks to the parents association. Thanks for your time. 10/11/09 Flemington Winter League Info Another topic that has come up is what winter league we will be participating in this year. There has been some interest in a league that is in Flemington, NJ. The benefits of the league is that it is an indoor full field situation. The cost of the league would run about $250 per player (estimate right now). There is a minimum number of 20 and max of 22 per team. This note is to find out if we have enough interest to send a team. Obviously the cost is significantly higher than the other leagues, but the full field experience will better prepare us for the spring. I have limited information right now, but what I know is the following: Location: Flemington, NJ (about 40 min drive from South) Cost: approx $250 per player Game days: Sunday (late morning). If we can get 20 to commit to this league by Friday, October 16th then we will put a team in. Please respond to this email to let me know if you will be playing in this league.
