Christian Brothers Academy is an all male college preparatory school located in Colonie, New York, a suburb of Albany, New York, the capital of the State of New York.
The sixth grade through twelfth grade school is under the guidance of The Brothers of the Christian Schools, more commonly known as the De La Salle Christian Brothers.
The Christian Brothers draw their guidance and vision from the teachings of their founder, Saint John Baptiste de La Salle. The Order was founded in France in 1860. Saint John Baptiste de La Salle is recognized by the Church as the patron Saint of Teachers.
The lay faculty at the school is a very dedicated staff of teachers who involve themselves fully in their teaching vocation and also find time to assist the students in extracurricular activies.
