CAYFL Programs
Our football and cheer program feature a focus on teaching the fundamentals of the game in a fun and positive environment. Our associations have seasoned coaches at all levels who have proven to be focused on enriching the experience of our young players and cheerleaders, which has lead to a highly satisfied parent-child experience.

Football season starts in mid August and runs until early December.  Games are played on Saturdays and practices are in typically during the weekday in the evenings.  After a preconditioning period in August, in which teams practice up to five nights a week, games start in mid September and teams may practice up to three nights a week thereafter.

CAYFL Football Includes:

Tackle Football - for boys/girls aged 7-15  includes approximately 8 regular season games plus bowl games or playoffs, leading to the National Championships in Tucson the week of December 5-10.  Check the "handouts" section for the age/weight table to determine where your child will play.

Flag Football - for boys/girls aged 6-8 (no weight limitations) includes approximately 8-10 games.  Flag football provides a competitive, yet less physical introduction to the fundamentals of football.  Practice begins in mid-August, with games starting in mid-September.

Cheerleading - for boys/girls aged 5-15 provides an opportunity to develop "spirit" skills in the context of a team environment.

All mandatory equipment and uniforms are provided by the association as part of the registration fees.  The CAYFL is dedicated to ensuring that all equipment meets League safety standards.
