Catawba Valley Stars, Hickory NC is a member of the Carolina Virginia Summer Collegiate Baseball League, of which we are a charter member. Catawba Valley Stars has fielded a team in Collegiate Summer baseball for the past 20 years. We started as a member of the Stan-Musial League, then went to the Mountain Atlantic Collegiate League. We are now starting our 6th season with the Carolina Virginia Collegiate Baseball League.

The Catawba Valley Stars are honored to consistantly have former players drafted each year in the Major League draft. We would like to wish the best of luck to our latest player drafted - Casey Justice - who signed February 2010 with an independent league team.

The 2011 Stars will play an approximately 60 game schedule - which includes games against teams in the Carolina Virginia, Coastal Plains League, The Great South League, Independent Leagues and 2 Minor League Teams.

Our home games are played at the L.P. Frans Stadium - home of the Hickory Crawdads in Hickory, NC.
