Thursday Night, June 13^th

Baby Photo Contest Entry   Picture entries (no larger than 5x7) are for 0-3 years old. Please bring a labeled picture to the Shelter House on Thursday & drop it in the drop box!  The pictures will be displayed on Friday & Saturday.  1 penny = 1 vote & 1 dollar = 100 votes! Prizes will be given to the top three!

Cascade Youth League Night   Support your CYL teams as they play each other Thursday night on Diamond #2 under the lights!  Any CYL player that comes out to the game will receive 5 free tickets for the Game Tent when you get your hand stamped near the dug outs of Diamond #2.

Friday and Saturday Nights, June 14th and 15th

Saturday, June 15^th

Parade   All CYL players are welcome to participate in the Parade for the Amo Fish Fry that will take place Saturday June 15^th at 2:00 p.m.  We ask all players to line up by Diamond # 2 at 1:30 p.m.  We will have trucks and trailers available for your team to ride in.  Please bring a bag of candy to toss to the crowd!  The parade is a fun event for our players and we hope you are able to participate!

Kiddie Tractor Pull Contest   There will be a tractor pull contest immediately following the parade.

Cascade Youth League Football and Cheer Sign-Ups  Walk up registrations for CYL Football and Cheerleading for this falls season will be taken near Diamond #2 after the Parade from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.

Cascade Varsity Baseball vs. CYL Coaches Whiffle Ball Game Come watch your favorite coaches play the Cascade High School Varsity Baseball Team in a whiffle Ball Game.  This will take place Saturday the 15th at 5:00 p.m. 

Annual CYL Home Run Derby  Our Annual Home Run Derby will follow the whiffle ball game.  It will take place from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Diamond #2.  The kids will compete in separate age divisions, and there will also be a division for adults.  All participants receive a T-Shirt, trophies will be awarded for the winners.  The entry fee for the Home Run Derby is $3.00 for Youths, and $5.00 for Adults. 

Fireworks   Stay around and enjoy one of the best fireworks displays in the area.  Fireworks typically begin shortly after 10:00pm. 

In addition to all of the scheduled activities above, enjoy the nightly activities of the Game Tent, Bounce House, Dunk Tank, Bingo Tent, the Commercial Booth Tent, the live band at the Dining Tent, antique tractors, great food, elephant ears, and more!!

Below is the Revised Team Work Schedule for the Amo Fish Fry. Kerri Farmer has worked out most if not all of conflicts with Tourneys and games.  Contact her directly if any further adjustments arise (317-502-8624).  We encourage any parent/player that cannot attend their assigned shift to come out and work at some other time.  This schedule is also listed on our Facebook page.
 
In addition, please remember that parents/players need to turn in sold raffle tickets with money, and unsold tickets no later than Thursday evening, and give them to Kerri or Tim Whicker.  Thursday night we also need donated desserts delivered to the Shelter House.
 
There will be a league wide email sent shotly with the scheduled activities during the Fish Fry.

If Players and/or Parents are unable to work there scheduled time, please try to come out and work another shift.

 The Amo Fish Fry is quickly approaching. Work times are being adjusted due to Tourney and Game schedules, so check back here and at Facebook, and confirm with your Coach for the latest schedule adjustments.

Also, make sure to turn in your raffle tickets either unsold, or sold with the money, and bring your donated to the Shelter House by Thursday night.

It sounds like a lot of work, but our main fundraiser for the year is packed into 3 days, and it is a great community event. Plus you get to see fireworks on Saturday night!

Congratulations to Cascade 8U Team 1 for winning the West Central Youth Baseball League 8U Tourney.

Registrations for Cascade Youth League 2013 Football and Cheerleading Season will begin soon.  Information regarding Sign-ups, including the Registration Forms, can be found on the Handouts Page, or thru the link below. 

Sign-ups will be held Saturday June 15th at the Amo Fish Fry from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and also Saturday June 22nd and June 29th at the Cascade High School Football Building from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.  Please note that the last day to sign-up without a late fee will be July 1st this year.  Online sign ups will be avalailable after June 10th at www.cascadeyouthleague.com.

We have also information regarding the Youth and Middle School Football Camps, which are run by the High School Football Coaching Staff.  The Youth and Middle School Camp will take place June 24th-June27th.  If you have any questions regarding the camps please feel free to contact Jason Thompson, Varsity Football Coach, at 317-508-5050.

Brian Burch Benefit

The Mill Creek Optimist Club will be providing a Benefit for Amo residents Brian Burch and his family. Brian has been diagnosed with cancer and we will be raising funds to offset medical costs for Brian and his family.

A PANCAKE BREAKFAST will be served Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Mill Creek West Elementary School cafeteria from 7:00 – 11:00 am. There will be a free will offering taken for breakfast of pancakes, bacon, sausage, juice , milk and coffee.

...There will also be raffles and silent auctions for donations acquired from local individuals and area establishments.

Any and all monetary and /or material donations would be

T-Ball Update:

Cascade Youth League is in the process of finalizing details for this years T-Ball program.  The planning is almost complete, but we wanted to notify you and relieve any concerns that you have been forgotten.  This year's program will be conducted slightly different than last year's, so that we may provide improved and more consistent instruction, that will benefit your player as they progress into the Coach's Pitch divisions of Baseball and Softball.  Look for more information soon with more specific information.

If you volunteered to Coach or be an Assistant Coach, you will be contacted by phone by the Program Directors very soon.

Here are a few dates to take note of:

April 13th - Cascade Youth League Jamboree - Uniforms are scheduled to be delivered the week prior to Jamboree.
May 4th - Cascade Youth League Picture Day - A schedule will be put together for Team and individual pictures.  More info to follow.  
T-Ball Instruction/Games will be conducted on Saturday afternoons for 5 Saturdays thru the end of May - Schedule of dates forthcoming.
