Frequently Asked Questions 

What do I need to bring to registration/fittings?

Payment made in full!  All required paperwork: A copies of the athletes current school photo (wallet sized), 2 copies of the entire year (all 4 quarters) report card photo copied on one side of the paper, as well as have a physical signed by a physician (not stamped) done with in the same calendar year of 2013.  If the player or cheerleader did not cheer with the Canes last year, you will need to have The ORIGINAL birth certificate and 1 copy, which we must keep. The original will be returned to you after it has been certified.  

What is included in the cost?
FOOTBALL PLAYERS- Helmet rental
- Shoulder pad rental
- Game pants rental
- Personalized Game Jersey (you get to keep)- Mouth piece and chin strap
- 7 pc pad set
- Game socks
- Year-end award
- Supplemental insurance fee

***Football players will need to purchase the following additional items: ***
- practice integrated football pants
- practice socks (game socks will be provided)
- cleats
- jock strap or cup
- t-shirt to wear under the shoulder pads

Where do the Hurricanes practice?
We will practice behind the Citrus Park Christian Athletic Complex:  18105 Gunn Hwy, Odessa 33556

When is practice? 

We will begin mandatory conditioning on  August 1^st, 2013. The conditioning will continue for the next 2 weeks to ensure that the mandatory hours are met. When schools begin, regular practices will be held weekly on days and times TBD per the Football Commissioner. The only times regular practice days/times are changed are make-up practices, holidays or special situations to be determined by your head coach. It is important to have your athlete hydrated before, during and after practice; it is HOT out there! Sunscreen and bug spray is recommended as well.
