EAST WHITELAND — Emily Hagar and Rachel Orlow scored first-half goals for Great Valley in a 2-0 shutout of Avon Grove in a Ches-Mont League non-divisional field hockey game Friday afternoon.
Hagar also had an assist for the Patriots (9-5 overall).
Steph Berger made one save in goal for the Great Valley shutout. Alyssa Sifer recorded 12 saves for Avon Grove.
Great Valley’s next game is against West Chester Bayard Rustin on the road Tuesday afternoon.
Archbishop Carroll 4, Little Flower 2: The Patriots notched their ninth straight victory.
Meg McKee led Carroll with two goals while Phoenixville natives Kim Zamojcin and Rachel Walsh teamed up to log the insurance goal. Sophomore Kelsey Byrne notched the final Carroll goal.
The Patriots logged 13 penalty corners and 21 shots on goal for the game.
The victory raised Archbishop Carroll’s record to 10-2-1 overall and 7-0 in the Catholic League.
