Andy Edgren- 16 Club Team
Coach Edgren has been coaching volleyball for 13 years. He has coached at both public and private high schools. He also has experience coaching club volleyball, both for Carpe Diem in Columbia, and for Daytona Beach Club and Spruce Creek Juniors, in Daytona Beach, FL. He led the Ben Lippen Falcons to a "A" State Championship in the public high school league in 1995, and is currently coaching at Hammond Academy, where he has won 3 consecutive region titles and has finished in the top 5 teams in the state in SCISA for the past four years. He is also a multiple "Coach of the Year" award winner.
His playing career began in Pittsburgh, where he played middle hitter for Fox Chapel High in 1988 and 1989. He went on to play with Athletes in Action overseas, setting for a team that played in both Thailand and China. He set Coach Shick a lot because he crushes the ball. He now prefers to play beach and grass doubles tournaments, where he (along with Coach Shick in several instances) has won many outdoor open tournaments (they serve Coach Edgren all day long). His love for the sport of volleyball is exceeded only by his love for his wife and family, and most of all, for Christ.
