Fresh Paint and New Boards Greet CLL Members for Baseball Games

On Sunday, April 7th, a group of Carmichael Little League volunteers spent the day sprucing up the baseball facility at La Sierra.

Volunteers were able to paint everything on the Minor A and Major field.  The crew included Dean and Jason Kwasny, Doug Dobler, and Jeff McHugh.

In addition, Mike and Kirsten Johnson replaced several rotted boards on the stands of both fields in addition to many other needed fixes.  They were able to coordinate this effort with the paint crew so that all of the new boards were painted.

On behalf of the CLL Board of Directors and CLL Membership, I would like to thank these volunteers for the time and effort they have put into our league.

Thank you!

CLL Safety Update: New Minor B Mound Built

This past weekend, three Minor B volunteers rebuilt the mound on the NE field.  The mound was moved back after concerns over the safety of our kids was communicated.  In addition to moving the mound back, Carmichael Little League has taken other steps to ensure the safety of our kids.  Recently, new helmets were purchased for use in the Minor B division.  These helmets were fitted with face cages that will protect the batter from a ball to the face/mouth area.  In addition, all managers were provided with a copy of the CLL Safety plan that details steps taken to assure the safety of all CLL members.  Finally, all CLL teams were provided with a basic 1st Aid kit to keep with the team gear.

Carmichael Little League takes the safety of our kids seriously.  Please forward any and all suggestions regarding CLL member safety to a board member.
