2010 TEAMS
Congratulations to all the girls, everyone did an excellent job during the evaluations days.
The attitude and effort by everyone during try outs was really good. We are very excited about starting the season in January.
As always we had a challenging task in making our teams this year.
We had to combine the some of 13+14’s age girls together in order to place everyone on a team.
We will have an ALL club meeting this Monday at Orchard Park Church. Everyone is excpeted to attend. From 6:00-7:00 there will be uniform and sportswear sizing (samples will be available). Coach Kehoe will briefly talk from 7:00-7:15. Individual team meetings will be from 7:15-8:00. In your team meetings you will establish phone tree, rosters, tournament schedule, practice info/schedule, questions. Please bring your calendars and check book to the meeting.

4. USVBA membership confirmation (Registration information is listed below)
5. Check
For NEW (really honest-to-goodness new members, never registered with USAV) members, you go to the actual registration screen for Hoosier Region. Each region has it’s own link for these registrations.
The link for NEW members in Hoosier Region: https://webpoint.usavolleyball.org/wp/memberships/join.asp?mbr_ChapterID=25963 (you’ll see the Hoosier Region logo in the corner – as long as the link ends with “25963” it should go to your region). For individuals who have some kind of record in the system (have been registered in the past eight years in some region of USA Volleyball), you go to a login screen and either login or request login information. For these people, the login screen is the same for everyone, then once someone logs in, the system directs them to the region-specific site with the member’s record.
The link for anyone with a recent USAV membership: https://webpoint.usavolleyball.org/wp15/IntraLock/Login.asp
For more information about the Hoosier Region you can go to their web site.

Parent Information Meetings

Monday November 9th 2009 at 6:00pm
Orchard Park Presbyterian Church (on the corner of Rangline Rd. and 106th St.)
The Carmel Volleyball Club (CVC) is for those girls who enjoy playing volleyball and want to improve their skill ability. The CVC will provide a competitive volleyball experience at all levels. This will be the 20th year for the CVC which was established in 1990 by former Carmel High School coach Doug Kehoe. Coach Kehoe started playing volleyball at Muncie Northside H.S. where he led the team to a state championship and was named to the All-State team. Kehoe then played 3 varsity seasons at Ball State. At Carmel H.S. Coach Kehoe won over 400 matches.
CVC Web Site: http://www.eteamz.com/carmelvolleyballclub/
GENERAL CVC INFORMATION: More detailed information will be available at the parent meeting.
- The club will try to have as many teams as facilities and qualified coaches will allow.
- Teams are based on age – 14’s, 13’s, 12’s, 11’s, and 10’s. The hope is there will be at least one team of 8th, 7th, 6th, and 5th grade. There may also be a 5th/4th grade team.
- The Carmel Volleyball Club season runs from November/December (try outs) through the end of April. Player evaluations will start Wednesday November 18th.
- Practices are local in Carmel. Practice days, times, and sites will vary depending on gym availability.
- Tournament schedules will vary from team to team. There is usually one tournament a month. Most teams will play in 5-7 tournaments. Tournaments can be on Sunday or Saturday.
- All teams, players, and coaches must be United States Volleyball Association (USVBA) members. All USVBA paper work must be properly completed before anyone can try out. If you know you are going to try out, please fill out the necessary USVBA paper work before or at the parent meeting.
- Teams will be selected before the school winter vacation and will be limited to approximately 8-10 players. The CVC is a try out situation. There is a possibility that you will not make a team. We will make every effort to place everyone who tries out on a team. If a player does not make a team, you will receive a full refund.
- Not ready for a travel team? Try the CVC Skills Training League which is designed for girls who are in grades 2-4. The skills train league will teach younger girls the correct form in passing, setting, serving, and spiking. These girls usually have little or no volleyball experience. The Training League is on Mondays from 5:00-6:00.
If you have any questions call or email Club Director Doug Kehoe. His contact information is on the Carmel Volleyball Club web site. http://www.eteamz.com/carmelvolleyballclub/
The information below is from the 2009 season. You may want to look over the information as this season (2010) will be similar.

2009 CVC Summer Volleyball Open Gym Practices and Private Lessons
2009 CVC Summer Open Gym Practices
I have been able to reserve the gym at Our Lady Mount Carmel for some summer volleyball. I have scheduled the summer volleyball program to cover the whole summer. I like the design of having open gyms though out the summer rather than having just a one week of volleyball like a volleyball camp. I feel players do develop more when they get sustained training rather than just a week of training. During the open gyms we will be working on conditioning, all volleyball skills, and team play.
Days - Tuesday and Thursday
Time - 5:00-7:00 Dates - June 16, 18, 23, 25, 30, July 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30. I will post the August dates later this summer.
I will be running the training sessions with the help of some other coaches.I know with everyone’s busy summer schedules you might not be able to attend all the open gym days. Please come as much as you want and whatever your schedule allows. The open gym cost is $5 per session.
Private Lessons Information I am available for private and/or small group volleyball lessons if you are interested.
My rate is $40 an hour or $20 per 1/2 hour.
Please contact me at dougk5257@aol.com if you have any questions or are interested in private or small group volleyball lessons.
Thank you - Coach Kehoe
