WELCOME TO THE CARMEL UNITED SOCCER CLUB WEBSITE.....SCROLL DOWN FOR NEWS AND INFORMATION
The Carmel United Soccer Club is an organization founded in 1980 dedicated to soccer. It is the Soccer Program that includes all the children of the Carmel School District. We are not a school or town program and our Board of Directors are not paid. The Club runs a Travel Program for ages 8 through 19 and an Inhouse Program for ages 3 through 11. Our affiliation is with the East Hudson Youth Soccer League. We play in the Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer and are committed to the training of our children and coaches to prepare players for high school level competition and beyond. Our premier teams play in major holiday tournaments such as the Virginian, Columbia, WAGS and Coca Expo, Orange Classic ( Fla.,) as well as local outdoor and indoor tournaments. Some of our players are experienced ODP and League Select players that are focused on preparing for post high school play.
Board Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Click on MEETINGS on the left for time and location. All are welcome. To place an item on the agenda please email us. Unless you are on the agenda there will not be time for your presentation.

TRAVEL NEWS:GIRLS U8/9 TRAVEL TEAM TO BE FIELDED SPRING 2010
SPECIAL OPEN TRYOUT SATURDAY, 11/7/09
Carmel United Soccer Club will be fielding a U8/9 Girls Travel Team in the Spring, 2010. To select players we will be having an open tryout Saturday, 11/17, 2:45 at George Fisher Middle School. Check in is 2:30. This will be immediately following the Inhouse U8/9 games. The tryout is open to all girls born between 8/1/2000 and 7/31/2002 whether they are playing in the Club or not. All candidates must bring a ball, shin guards, passport size picture and copy of birth certificate.
Those with questions or volunteers for assistant coach or team manager should contact Travel VP Gene Sepe at gsepe11229@aol.com or Head Coach Phil Larkin at coach@carmelsoccer.com.
Any boys interested in playing Travel on the existing Travel teams should contact Gene Sepe.

CLUB AWARDS $1500 IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS WITH FUNDS RAISED AT INDOOR TOURNAMENT
In June 2009, the Carmel United Soccer Club awarded 6 scholarships to High School seniors. The funds for this scholarship were raised at the Chris Tompkins Memeorial Indoor Tournament held at Patterson Recreation Center during February.

We will contiue fund raising for the schoalrship through sponsoship at the Chris Tomkins tournament this winter. We thank those sponsors for their contiributuin to the youth of the community.
We will be awarding scholarships again in June 2010.

Referees usually begin at 13 years old. Referees are paisd for their services and are reimbursed the cost of the Entry Level course after they referee for the Club 1 year. Contact Head Referee Keren Larkin (see contact info by clicking BOARD MEMBERS on left) if you are going for certification, want to be included as a Club ref or if you need more info.
