Herd Lose another 5 game Match to Central Dauphin

Central Dauphin trotted into Gene Evan's Gymnasium Thursday night.  The undefeated Rams were ranked 10th in the state coming in.  The Herd were not desperate, however, played a great match against the Rams.  They lost in a 5 game match, where they had the lead 13-11 in the fifth game and weren't able to finish.  The scores of the match were 24-26, 26-24, 26-28, 25-22, 13-15.  Team leaders for the Herd were Billy Davis with 25 digs, Justin Beachy with 20 kills and 19 digs, Terry Davis with 55 assists and 2 blocks.  Eric Love had 14 kills and 3 blocks, while Josh Black had 4 blocks.  Daniel Anderson had 14 kills.  The Herd plan on coming back with a victory against CD East on Tuesday.  Hoping to build momentum for an upcoming match with Lower Dauphin that has plenty of playoff implications.

(JV won in 2 games improving to 4-3.  Good swings Stevie and great all around play from first year player Nate Towery.)

Carlisle falls to Red Land in 5

Carlisle traveled to Redland last night and lost 3-2 in a close match.  Scores were 25-21, 26-28, 23-25, 25-22, 11-15.  Carlisle struggled to get off to a good start in all of the matches often times having to play catch up.  I will try to provide better stats then what the sentinel provided at a later time.  The herd beat themselves last night though making 34 hitting errors and 14 serve errors.  Hitting for the Herd was led by Justin Beachy who had 13 kills and 18 digs.  Daniel Anderson also added in 13 kills and 2 blocks.  Eric Love had 7 kills and 2 blocks.  Dalton Bowser had 7 kills and 13 digs.  Josh Black had 5 kills and 3 blocks.  Billy Davis had 15 digs and 4 aces.  Terry Davis had 43 assists, 7 kills, and 2 blocks. The Herd Host Chambersburg Tuesday night.  This is going to be a BLACK OUT game.
