MEAD CUP FINALISTS

Wow!  What a weekend!  Over 44 U-11 girls teams started the tournament and our girls reach the Finals!  To recap: The Dawgs played an impressive preliminary round with a record of 3-0 and a 14-0 goal differential.  Next came the quarterfinals, where the Dawgs prevailed 4-2 in PK's against a tough BSA Celtics team after a 1-1 regulation tie & 2 OTS.  In the semis, the Dawgs again prevailed in OT with a 2-1 victory over the defending champions, CIS Knockouts, having scored the tying goal in regulation with less than 1 minute to play in the game.  In the finals, two straight OT games and a very tough & talented Michigan Gators team were more than the girls could handle.  However, the girls showed a lot of heart and battled to the final whistle.  Congratulations Girls!  Be very proud of your accomplishments this past weekend!!!!
