- Badlands Conference Champions
- Class A, Region Four Champions
- Mega Bowl VIII Champion
- Finished in the North Dakota Class A Final Four
- Enjoyed an 11 game winning streak to start
the season.

The Mega Bowl is played anunally between the Washburn Cardinals & Garrison Troopers to commemorate the importance of the Energy Producing Industry to central North Dakota. Washburn currently holds a 9 - 2 lead in the series.

Former Cardinal Wins National Championship
Former two time All State Cardinal football player Jed Perkerewicz was the starting tailback for the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux which won the NCAA Division II National Championship in Florence, Alabama in early december. Jed scored the go ahead TD with only seconds to go in the title game.
