Welcome to the CALIFORNIA RAGE GOLD website!!!
Welcome to the CA Rage 18 Gold site! We are a So. California GOLD-ASA/IFA/PGF/AFA/Triple Crown/JR. Olympic team that has qualified for ASA, IFA, NAFA, TRIPLE CROWN, USSA and AFA Nationals at various age groups since 1993! Rage was established in 1993 by Jim Guido. The overall goal of the CA Rage organization is to assist its players in maximizing college exposure and for them to excel at the collegiate level and beyond. The gold team will be coached by Jim Guido, who has over 30 years of coaching experience. Jim Bollier, who joined us in 2004. Prior to joining us Jim Bollier was the Head Coach/Manager of the Surefire 18UA team and is currently a member of the Mt. San Antonio College (Walnut, CA) championship coaching staff. Joel Curtis, who is the Head Varsity Coach at Providence High, comes to us from the Mayhem Travel Program (Head 16U Coach). He has been coaching with our program since 2010. Rage's newest assistant coaches are Don Barker and Tony Froussine. Tony has coached for many years with the Sudden Impact program at the 14UA, 16UA levels and for the last two years as the head coach of the 18UA CA Rage team that most recently took second place at the AFA Nationals in 2012 in addition to many other tournament titles. Don is an ACE Level 3 coach who has also been coaching for many years coaching with Upland Girls Softbal where he helped his all-star team take 1ST Place at the the ASA "B" State and National Tournaments. Prior to coming to Rage he was involved with the California Thunder travel program. Our college recruiting staff is composed of Rich Henning who has been with us since 2002 and comes to us from the Stealth Gold Organization. Rich Henning is currently the head varsity softball coach at Hoover High School. Jennifer "J.D." Stellakis who has been involved with (coaching/playing) at the 18U Gold level and College level for many years, is the owner/lead instructor for PowerHouse Softball Academy and has been the College Coordinator for the Gold program since 1999. She has been involved in over 150 student athletes receiving college scholarships as of this date. In addition, she is both ACE Certified and a member of the NFCA organization. Our newest on-site recruiter is John Valerio. John has coached high school baseball for Arcadia High School and has been involved in coaching and college recruiting for many quality baseball and softball travel programs for over 10 years. Our coaching/recruiting staff has a combined 200+ years of experience, are ASA insured and have assisted over 200 players in attaining College Scholarships. We are a serious team with serious goals. The Rage organization is here to assist young ladies who have the desire and discipline to continue their education beyond high school and take their talents and abilities to the highest level in an effort to obtain athletic scholarships and become successful contributors to their communities. Rage Gold is known for playing 110% hardcore fastpitch softball and will settle for nothing less. CA Rage Gold Takes 1ST Place at Triple Crown CA State Qualifier!!!!!!
Congratulations to CA Rage Gold for taking the TCS State Qualifier. All girls did a great job this weekend as they all worked together with a short roster to go undefeated and qualify for the TCS World Series. We had a great performances by Katie and Kristen behind the plate and at the plate. In addiiton, Crystal and Bianca kept us alive with solid performances on the mound. Bev and Haley protected our middle infield while Bri "Gomez" and Vanessa kept our corners strong. Alyssa, Tawney, Audrey did amazing in the outfield. While our 16U Rage girl Brittney's speed helped us stay strong offensively. Every girl gave their all to earn the championship, even Nikki with her super aggressive baserunning skills - hope you heal fast girl! A special thanks to our coaching staff - Jim, Mike, Tony, Michelle and John for giving all you have to the team's success. Against Palisades, Kaitlyn Williams had two hits, two stolen bases and two runs, while Diana Palafox had two runs batted in.

Hoover 17, Muir 0 (five innings): The Tornadoes won their Pacific League opener on Thursday at home. Lilly Rivera had a home run and four runs batted in, while Kaitlyn Williams added four RBI and a double and a triple. Jessica Rivera had three stolen bases.

The Hoover High softball team picked up two wins over Sylmar, 5-2, and Lawndale, 11-9, Saturday in teh Whittier Tournament. LIlly Rivera ensured a Tornadoes (4-3) victory over Sylmar as she drove in four of the her team's five runs on a three-for-three day that included a home run. BRIANNA MANZANERO (other Rage Gold Girl) went 2 for 3 and drove in another run for Hoover.
