  • New Player Information - Welcome to Chesapeake and Potomac Softball (CAPS)--Washington and Baltimore's gay and lesbian softball league! Last year, more than 400 gay and lesbian softball players from the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area played in our league and enjoyed an 18-game schedule of summertime games at every level of play. In addition to this full schedule of league games, several of our teams also traveled to tournaments in other cities and four of our teams earned the right to represent our league at the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance's (NAGAAA) Gay Softball World Series, which was held in August 2008 in Seattle, WA. In addition to being active on the playing field, our league held its Season Kick Off Party at Town Night Club, participated in the Capital Pride parade and festival, hosted mixers at sponsor's bars, and provided food, trophies, and awards at our season-ending banquet. We also held All-Star games featuring the top players from each division and had our second annual Fall program. As you can see, last year was a great season for our league. We know that 2009 will be an even better year and we want to invite you to be a part of all the fun and excitement!
