Capitals '94 Tryout Dates

The dates for Capitals '94 tryouts for the 2009-2010 year have been set. If you have any questions please contact Coach Wright. See contact information below.

The Westside Futbol Association Capitals '94 invite you to participate in tryouts for the 2009-2010 U14 Competitive Team. Tryouts will be held on the dates listed below at the Henderson Soccer Complex, 401 South Barrow Rd, Little Rock, Arkansas.

Tryout #1 - Thursday, July 16, 7:00-8:30 PM
Tryout #2 - Tuesday, July 21, 7:00-8:30 PM
Tryout #3 - Monday, July 27, 7:00-8:30 PM

You are encouraged to attend as many of the scheduled tryout sessions as you are able. Please be sure to wear appropriate clothing including shin guards and soccer cleats. Also bring water and a ball. We will supply other gear needed.

Before you will be allowed to try out, you will need to complete a Capitals Application for Tryout, which will be available at the tryout sessions.

During the tryouts, the coaches will be looking at several different areas of soccer abilities, including technical abilities, physical abilities, strength and ball control. Another important factor is commitment. This will be a part of the player's tryout and will also involve conversations with the player and his parents. The final factor evaluated will be how well the player works the field in positioning, positioning and working with others. The more advanced skills displayed, the better the chance of making the team. If trying out for goalie, the player will also need to be prepared to demonstrate those skills, as well.
