2010 WINTER I PROGRAMS (JAN/FEB) ARE HERE!
Capitalland Lacrosse and Field Hockey is offering a number of programs during January and February 2010 on the indoor turf fields of the Sportsplex in Halfmoon. We will be offering leagues and instructional programs for boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse, men's lacrosse and field hockey.
All programs are on Thursdays and will run from 1/7 through 2/25, excluding 2/18.
Register by mail to: 7 Azalea Ct., Clifton Park, NY, 12065. You can also register a half-hour prior to each scheduled session, as long as we have room available.
The league format of play will include weekly divisional play. Records will be kept. A playoff tournament will be held after the regular session league games conclude. Each game will be officiated by a qualified referee.
--VARSITY for boys trying out for varsity in the spring (Majority of start times between 5 and 9 p.m. with game or two possible starting at 4 and/or 10 p.m.)
--JV & FRESHMAN/GR. 8-10 for any boy who will be trying out for their JV or freshman team in the spring. Includes 8th graders having 3 or more years of experience. (Start times between 6 and 9 p.m. with game or two possible at 5 p.m.)
--MODIFIED/GR. 5-8 with 5th graders having 3 or more years of experience. (Start times between 6 and 8 p.m.)
INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS FOR BEGINNER/NOVICE/INTERMEDIATE
These programs highlight our expert coaching staff's ability to teach advanced, intermediate, novice and beginning players the right way to play lacrosse. Our coaches will use the same skills, drills and live scrimmages used to mold numerous all-league and all-American lacrosse players.
--GR. 6-11 for the beginner, novice and intermediate level, geared towards helping the player make their school's team in the spring. A 20-minute scrimmage will take place each night after an instructional session so players can learn individual and team concepts. (6-7 p.m.)
The league format of play will include weekly divisional play. Records will be kept. A playoff tournament will be held after the regular session league games conclude. Each game will be officiated by a qualified referee.
LEAGUE PLAY
--VARSITY for girls who will be trying out for their varsity team in the spring, as well as advanced JV-level players, and post-graduate women. (Majority of starting times between 5-6 p.m. with game or two possible at 4 p.m.)

--ADVANCED/GR. 10-12) for intermediate and advanced players who have been playing lacrosse for a while. These players want to refine their skills while being introduced to advanced techniques. (7-8 p.m.)
--NOVICE & BEGINNER/GR. 5-10 for girls who are novice or beginning lacrosse players who need to sharpen their basic skills while being introduced to more advanced techniques needed in order to make their school's team. (7-8 p.m.)
--GR. K-5 CO-ED BEGINNER NON-CONTACT for beginners. Set in a fun, hands-on positive environment. Just right for those who want to try the fastest-growing sport in America: lacrosse! We will be using a puffball, and no contact is allowed. The emphasis is on FUN! (6-7 p.m.)
The Capitalland Lacrosse Club is running two separate men's winter programs this December, January and February. The first is an open-play program where players can sign up each night and play in a nightly round robin tournament. The second is a fully-run league where teams will battle each other every week. This program will cumulate in a championship tournament. Each program will be held on the turf fields at the Sportsplex in Halfmoon.

We will not be having lacrosse/field hockey on Thursday 11/26 – Thanksgiving night.
The make-up for that evening will be during the day on Friday 11/27. See times below:
Girls Field Hockey instructional program will play from noon to 1.
