City of Austin Parks and Rec -- Capital City Softball: Field Rental Info

Reservations are available on a first come-first served basis, provided fields are not in use for league play, tournaments, and/or other special events. Reservations may be made in person, fax or email and must be accompanied by payment. NO parking on the grass, NO glass containers, and ALL pets must be on a leash!

Fields available for reservations:

Krieg Softball Complex (11 fields) 515 S. Pleasant Valley Rd.

Havins Softball Complex (5 fields) 12138 N. Lamar Blvd.

Butler Fields (2 fields) 1614 Toomey Rd.

Tournament / Game Rentals (See Field Reservation Contract for more details)

A. Deposit - $50.00 per field Total deposit must be paid in advance to reserve a field. Provided all equipment and facilities are left clean and undamaged, deposit will be refunded within 4 weeks.

B. Fees including bases and field maintenance

Any one field per day                         $ 150.00

Four Krieg fields per 2-day weekend    $ 900.00

Five Havins fields per 2-day weekend   $1125.00

C. Lights - $25.00 per field-per hour or any portion of an hour

D. Score Panels - $200.00 deposit and a $25.00 rental fee, per score panel-per day. This fee must be paid in advance and arrangements for pickup made one day prior to tournament.

E. Electricity/Power - $20.00 per day.

F. Cancellations - 25% of rental fee will be withheld without a 14-day cancellation notice.

G. Gate - If admission is charged, 25% of gross gate receipts will be paid to the City of Austin.

H. Parking - All vehicles must remain in the parking lot at all times. NO parking on the grass!

I. In the event the City of Austin does not have a current Concession Contract with a certified vendor, renters may provide concessions with 15% of gross receipts payable to the City of Austin. NO glass containers! NO concession or alcohol sales without permission, valid insurance, and proper food/health permits.

J. Extra maintenance including: Diamond Dry, additional dragging or lining, and temporary fence set-up is available with prior approval and charges will be applied as additional Maintenance and Operations costs.

Practice Rentals

A. Practice rentals cannot be made more than 7 days prior to rental date.

B. Practice rentals do not include bases or field maintenance. Fields are reserved on an “as is” condition. Practice fields are rented for a maximum of two hours. Rentals may be rescheduled in the event of rain, light failure, or if the Athletics Office finds it necessary to cancel.

C. Fees without Lights - $15.00 per field-per hour with a two hour maximum limit.

D. Fees with Lights - $50.00 per field-per two hour minimum time block. Rentals with lights must be reserved in association with league play because the umpires turn on/off the lights.
