Welcome to the Cape Henlopen Little League Site

Welcome to the Cape League Baseball and Softball Website!

The league is comprised of 13-18 year old players from 3 area Little Leagues.  We draw players from Milton Little League, Lewes Little League and Rehoboth Little League who wish to continue playing organized recreational softball and baseball.  Players from each of these leagues boundry lines are eligable to play in Cape.

Cape participates in District All-Star's as well as Pat Knight tournament play.

Baseball utilizes the fields at both Milton LL and Rehoboth LL as our home fields (Lewes does not have a 90 ft base path field for baseball).

Softball utilizes Milton LL field as our home field.

Softball and Senior Baseball are part of Interleague Play involving teams from all around Sussex County.  Junior Baseball is typically scheduled to play teams from Eastern Sussex County but sometimes includes teams from the entire County, as well as other Cape teams.

Presently, we are attempting to grow both the softball and baseball programs.  Donations are being accepted for a number of projects which need to be completed at our fields.  We are hoping to revamp everything from the pitchers mound and back stop to the playing surface and dugouts.  Lights are also sorely needed at our fields to facilitate a little later start as opponents are typically traveling from up to 45 minutes away.  Even with a 6pm start, games are completed at dusk and some must be shortened due to darkness.  Please contact a Board member if you can help!

Little League Senior Softball World Series (click for info)

World Series dates for 2011in Roxanna have not been announced yet.  Check with your local Little League for the opportunity to play at the World Series as part of the Pat Knight Tournament (10 year old girls).  This is a great opportunity for the younger girls to be part of this atmosphere.

District III (all of Sussex County) is responsible for providing "workers" for this event.  ALL of this is achieved through volunteers and donations.  Little League does NOT fund this event.  Check out the site for further information.  Please consider volunteering or donating to this worthwhile local event which generates $1.6 million for local Sussex County businesses!
