St. Louis Golden Spikes Baseball Club

We are a first year team in the St. Louis area and would like to play some games against the Capahas this upcoming season. We are looking to create a competitive schedule and from several players who have played against the Capahas we would like to add you to our schedule. Please consider playing us at our home field, Missouri Baptist College, and at your home field as well. We are team made up of current,ex- collegiate baseball players, and ex-minor league players. Please consider our offer and we look forward to scheduling some games in the near future.

We played the Capahas at the NBC World Series. It was a good game (5-3). I was very interested in finding out what Capaha meant...I understand it is the name of a tribe indigenous to the Missouri area...Our team is sponsored by the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas. We play in La Liga Instruccional del Norte de Coahuila in Mexico. It is a training ground for players who feed into the Mexican League (AAA). Right now we are in a seven game series to determine this year's champion. The NBC Tournament fell right in between our semis and the final, yet we chose to honor our invitation. I hope you were impressed with the quality of baseball we bring. You won the game that day but we left many a baserunner stranded on the basepaths. I hope our paths cross again someday. Judging from this website, you all are a class act. Good luck Capahas! Next time we meet I hope you're playing the 2001 Liga del Norte Champions!

I would just like to say that it is a shame that mustaches aren't a big part of the game anymore. Love the old pictures!!!

We are located about an hour south of Evansville Indiana. This is our first year and we will play about 40 games around here.
I would like to plan a few road trips next year so I hope we can come down some weekend.

Hello Mary,
How are you doing? Tommy told me about your legs and I hope they are feeling better! Shawna and I are in the computer lab and I was browsing around while she did her homework! That's right she goes here now, so we are just saying hello and the web site threw me off for a bit because of the new sponsor! I think that is great, well got to run, tell Jess I said hello and also to the rest of the family and I hope to see you at some LU games maybe! Take care and if you have time e-mail me to see if you got this e-mail! m_wroten25@yahoo.com. See you guys and take care!
