HI SOFTBALL FAMILIES,

Well, we are rapidly approaching another season of Comanche Softball.  Please make plans to have your player represented by a parent at our introductory (mandatory) meeting, to be held in Room 106 at Canyon HS, Wednesday night December 2nd at 6:30pm.  Coaches will discuss our plans for this year's program, and go over general guidelines for players & parents.

Please bring your checkbook. (sorry about that) : )    We have a $500 player fee, of which we collect $300 at this meeting so that we can meet our pre-season expenses.  The other $200 is collected February 1st, at the start of second semester----but at your option it can be offset through the recruitment of a field banner.  Click on the "Handouts" tab to print a copy of the 2010 Field Banner Form.

Our programs need to necessitate a continuance of our financial requirements as in years past.  I want to thank everyone who has contributed to our program in the past as well as those who continue to contribute.

We will also take hat & sweatshirt orders at the meeting, so bring a check for that purpose.  (The sweatshirts will be the kind that you may have seen the players and coaches this past season, as well as the hats).

I will need some parents to help with some chairmanships this year.  Here are a list of positions:

     1) Varsity Parent and JV Parent to drag the fields right after a game ends.

     2)Field Banner Chairman - Collect Banner Forms and money.  Have new banners made for new customers.  Hang banners on fence.

     3)Parent to fit Varsity Players with new Ringor Cleats.  Size players and give order to Coach Hay

     4) Varsity & JV Snack Bar Chairman - Canyon Field

           a) Varsity Chairman - Susan Bustillos

           b) JV Chairman - TBD

     4)Carew Classic Tournament - Chairman Lance Eddy

          a)Field Maintenance Chairman - Jeff Blanco

          b)Snack Bar Chairman - Heather Tarango---Heather needs a strong assistant this year to help her with this event.  Heather is a teacher and her spring break doesnt coincide with this tournament, so she cant be there 24/7.  We are looking for a good 2nd in command that she can depend on.

          c) Barbecue Chairman - Andy Tarango

CONGRATULATIONS ON A 2ND PLACE FINISH IN THE NIKE FASTER TO FIRST NATIONAL TOURNAMENT.  THE COACHING STAFF IS REALLY PROUD OF YOU GIRLS.  GREAT JOB!!!!!

Practice Wear - T-Shirt, Shorts, Team Jacket, Cleats & Tennis Shoes

RAIN POLICY - Never assume that a practice or game has been cancelled because it is raining where you live. You are expected to be on time to your practice or game even in the case of rain, unless you are called or the cancellation is posted on this site. If we are able to post the cancellation at least 2 hours before the practice/game, then there will be no phone call.

BUS POLICY - Every player is required to travel with the team bus, to and from every game.  You will not receive permission to ride home with your parents, unless the bus was scheduled to take the team to the game only.
