Welcome to the Canton Lions Junion Football and Cheerleading Club
For Forty Four years (1964), the Canton Lions have provided fun and recreation for hundreds of boys and girls and their families from the Canton/Plymouth communities.
The purpose of the Canton Lions is to promote citizenship, sportsmanship, fellowship and physical development for children of our community.
Football
The Canton Lions is the only member of the WSJFL to have one of our football teams represnt us in the Super Bowl for six consecutive years.
Super Bowl Champions - Junior Varsity 2007, 2006, 2004 Freshman 2003, 2002
Cheerleading
WSFJL Rally Gold Champions - 2007 Canton Lions swept the Gold winning the Freshman, Junior Varisty and Varsity competition. In the 2007 dance competition, the Lion Ladies Freshman won the Gold and the Varsity team won the Bronze.

Canton Lions 2008 End of Season Banquet
Date- Sunday, December 7, 2008 Time- 2pm –6pm
Hellenic Cultural Center - 36375 Joy Road, Westland MI
Tickets: $20.00 per person Players and Cheerleaders are Complimentary
Please note: Tickets must be purchased for any adults, coaches and family members including small children. Ticket price includes full buffet dinner including soft drinks. Tickets must be presented at the banquet. Tickets WILL NOT be available at the door on the day of the event. You will need a blue ticket for your cheerleader or football player in order for them to enter the banquet hall.
Banquet Ticket Sale Dates and Times:
- Sunday, October 5th – At the Lions Den during all 4 games
- Saturday, October 11th – At our Jr. Freshman game vs. Ypsi Braves * Please see Jennifer McKenzie in the stands to purchase tickets
- Sunday, October 12th – At the Lions Den during all 3 games
- Tues – Thurs, October 14 – 16 – 15 minutes before and after practice at the Shed.
