Water Level

The water level drastically changes from year to year and day to day.
Please call ahead for water conditions at race time.   (814) 546-2011 or e-mail.

To check current water flow, go to USGS site:

Optimum river flow is 900 - 1400 cfs for event conditions.

River conditions in 2007 had a flow rate of 304, which in turn had boats scraping bottom.  We will watch the water level very closely, and if the water level drops below 300 for the day's event, we will highly consider moving the event to the George B. Stevenson dam.  If you have any questions, please call or e-mail me, Randy.  It is hoped that Mother Nature will give us another year like 2008.  Hope for the best, but come rain, shine, snow, cold, wind, hurricanes, tornados, forest fires, earthquakes, we will run.

Check station #01543000 (Sterling Run) for current flow rates.
