NO PETS PLEASE!
Please be aware that the Canal complex is NO PLACE FOR DOGS. It is a constant battle to keep the people from the neighborhood next to our fields from bringing their animals onto our complex, let alone our own families bringing their pets. We have repeatedly requested no pets at our fields...even ones on a leash! The dogs' droppings are completely unsanitary. Even if you are an owner who scoops, there are far too many who do not. Several years ago a child at Canal was bitten by what was an otherwise docile pet. The family sued the league and won a substantial settlement. Clearly, we don't want any children bitten. We can't tell by looking at a pet whether or not it will bite a child, and our complex is full of little siblings of our players on any given day. So, please....NO DOGS. Okay? Thanks!
NO SMOKING!
SMOKING IS PROHIBITED ON THE CANAL LITTLE LEAGUE COMPLEX. IF YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST SMOKE, PLEASE DO SO IN YOUR VEHICLE WITH THE WINDOWS UP. PUT THE BUTT IN THE ASHTRAY. THERE ARE SIGNS POSTED AND WE ARE ASKING THAT ALL PARENTS AND GUESTS AT OUR COMPLEX OBEY THIS RULE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.

WALL BALL
Traditionally, Canal children have played "wall ball" on the old Grange building up by the Major Boys Field. Unfortunately, we can not allow the children to play wall ball any longer. There are several reasons for not allowing this activity to continue. It is very dangerous for children with the cars coming in and out of the parking lot. The other reason is the Grange was sold over a year ago to R.C. Peoples and they have rented the building to the Heritage Baptist Church. There are church services and other activities that are taking place in the building throughout the week. This parking lot is not part of Canal's property. The Board thanks you for your consideration in this matter.
SLOW DOWN!
The speed limit throughout the Canal Complex is FIVE mph. Please obey this speed and pay attention...we have a lot of small children at the fields. Let's be safe. Thank you.
