Camdenton Girls Softball: Rules

CAMDENTON GIRLS SOFTBALL RULES FOR THE 2009 SEASON1. No player is to set out more than one consecutive inning until all players have set out at least once.          ( with the exception of the current pitcher and catcher)

2. All batters and base runners, as well as player base coaches must wear a helmet with faceguard at all times . With the exception of T-ball they are not required to have facemask.

3. T-Ball thru 9-10 games no new innings after 50 minutes.

4. 11-12 & 13-18 games no new innings after 60 minutes.

5. 10 and under no stealing home on third dropped strike.

6. 10 and under may steal when ball crosses home plate.

7. 11 and up may steal when ball leaves pitchers hand.

8. Runners must avoid a collision,  at all  bases. Fielders cannot block the base without possession of the ball.

9. Run rule on all ages is 8 runs per inning.

10. Tee Ball and 7&8 will bat the entire lineup  each at bat.

11. 7-8 will start season as machine pitch. Any change must be agreed upon by all coaches.

12. Machine will be placed at 35 feet and set at a speed of 32 mph.

 Each child shall receive 5 pitches or hit whichever occurs first. There are no walks.

13. 9-10 and 11-12 will have an expanded strike zone by three inches on each side of plate.

14. Teams other than Tee Ball must have 7 Players to Play. Each Open spot in the lineup will receive an out when it is that players turn to bat.

15. Each coach is responsible for the behavior of each player and their fans. The umpires call is final. If you wish to discuss a rule please feel free. Do not waste your teams game time arguing with the umpire or other coaches. The umpire has been instructed to never change their calls and disciplinary action against them may be taken if they change calls at the request of a coach.

16. Home Team to provide bookkeeper  Visitor to Provide scoreboard operator.

17. Second Team on the schedule is Home team! 

18. Players are to be played in standard positions with the exception of additional outfielders will be allowed in Tee- Ball and 7&8 with the aproval of the opposing coach.
