Pressbox Duties - April 15, 2010 (time TBD) This year's Scorekeeper's Clinic will be expanded to include a review of ALL of the jobs that take place in the pressbox (competitive-level leagues). We will review:

How to run the scoreboard

How to track the pitch count (baseball only)

Important Dates for 2010 Season
The 2010 Season At-A-Glance:
Mid-December 2009 - Manager/Coach Application will be available
January 1, 2010 - Online Registration Opens
February 20, 2010 (9am-12noon) - In Person Registration at the ballpark
February 24, 2010 (6pm-8:30pm) - In Person Registration at the ballpark
*** FYI - There is no increase in registration fees ***
March 7, 2010 (times TBD) - Try-Outs for baseball & softball (raindates: March 8-11)
March 27, 2010 - Clean-Up Day at the ballpark
April 17, 2010 - OPENING DAY!!
May 1, 2010 - Picture Day ... tentatively schedule - confirmation pending.
May 22, 2010 - Mid-Season Classic games return!
Mid-June 2010 - League Play-offs begin.
June 26, 2010 - Target date for local league games (regular season and league play-offs) to be completed. The cooperation of the weather for the months of April, May and June would be much appreciated!
Early-Mid July 2010 - District Tournaments begin. Players selected for tournament teams and all-star teams will continue playing into July (and beyond if they keep winning!).

Safety First!
Effective Immediately ...
There will be no throwing permitted in the ballpark other than on the fenced fields.
This means No Wall Ball anywhere. (Whether a sign is posted or not). The pitching mounds next to the baseball batting cages may be used. A "spotter" is recommended to keep people from wandering too near the action.
While we recognize the need of teams to warm-up as they are waiting for their field, the safety of everyone at CWLL must be given top priority.
Thank you for your understanding and for your assistance in reminding players of this new park rule.
