Little League Baseball Inc. requires a parent or legal guardian to present IN-PERSON every season a certified birth certificate (not a photocopy) to verify the child's birthdate and legal name.

"Abstract of Birth" documents are no longer accepted per LLB Inc policy.  Abstracts can usually be traded in (sometimes at no cost) for a certified birth certificate at the County Clerk's office.

A league official will "verify" the certificate and make a photocopy for CPLL records.  The original certificate will be handed back to you.

The player's birth certificate will now be on file for your entire Little League career with CPLL.  NOTE: In the event the player is selected for All-Star tournaments, you will need to provide the actual certtified birth certificate for the post season verification process. Fall baseball season will also need to verify birth certificates for player who did not play as a registered player withh CPLL last spring/

If you need to obtain a certified birth certificate, contact the County Records Office where the child was born.
