Volunteers - Pending Board Approval

The volunteers listed below have completed the 2010 Volunteer Application. Final approval is pending upon completion of the background check verification and Board approval.

Background Check for 2010 Volunteers
Sheriff Star

NOTE:  If you have completed a Live Scan after 7/1/2004 with CPLL and have not broken service with the league, you do NOT need to complete another Live Scan form as your name remains in the DOJ secure database and is checked automatically.

A background nationwide background screening check is required annually for volunteers (age 16 and above) per Little League Baseball (LLB) Inc.  Cambrian Park Little League is an authorized agency that subscribes to the State of California Department of Justice (DOJ) Live Scan Electronic Fingerprinting System and Choice Point to satisfy our background screening mandate.    The electronic finger printing is performed soley for us by contract for us by the County of Santa clara Sheriff's department and Choice Point.  You will only need to get Live Scan fingerprinted ONE TIME IN YOUR LIFE for the duration of your volunteer career with Cambrian Park Little League.  (NOTE: you must complete a volunteer application annually and not break service with the league for your live scan to remain in effect)

The new service (recently made available to non-profit organizations) will retain volunteers in the DOJ database and notify the CPLL custodian of records about any subsequent arrest or conviction in your criminal "rapsheet" due to

    (1) child abuse/neglect,
    (2) domestic violence
    (3) theft
    (4) narcotic related charges

This is the same program that California school districts use for teachers
.

When you complete your volunteer career with Cambrian Park (or at any time you wish to opt out), you will be removed from the DOJ background check service.

NOTES
a This arrangement applies to Cambrian Park League volunteers only.
b. By law, DOJ rapsheet results cannot be shared, as it is for CPLL internal use only.
c. The criminal information released to CPLL is limited to the four categories listed above.
d. CPLL volunteers are required to pay $10 at time of fingerprinting..
e. Fingerprinting must be done at the County Sheriff's Office (or one of its substations)
f. You can "opt out" of the database at any time if you choose by e-maling info@CPLLBaseball.org

We respect your privacy, however our kids safety is of the upmost importance.  If you have further questions, e-mail
info@CPLLBaseball.org
