Camarillo Rattlers 12U Travel Ball
Well we did it. We completed our objective of taking our boys to
Cooperstown. In 2001 we met at Mission Oaks park. Discussed
starting a team with the philosophy of taking some good 8 year old
players making them better with the goal of Going to Cooperstown when
they are 12. At that time it seamed so far away. Travel ball was
relatively new. Sometimes it would be months between tournaments and
now they are being held every weekend. We were in it to learn and have
fun. Over those four years we have seen a few players come and go but
for the most part we kept the team pretty solid. Our Goal has been met.
It has been a lot of fun and a lot of work but well worth my time to be
involved with such great families. Our kids have made great friends
over the years and so have I. I will miss seeing the comradery these 12
boys have developed. Seeing them grow from little boys to young men. At
12 years old life doesn't get much better. Soon enough real life will
begin to encroach on their childhood and take them over. This is not
and end of a team it is the completion of our Goal.....

The Rattlers are a competitive 12 & Under Travel Team established in 2001 based in Camarillo California.

USSSA Baseball State Championship Aug. 14,15 & 21, 22 at Mile Square Park Orange County CA Rattlers advanced to the finals weekend.

Rattlers came in Sixth out of Twenty One teams. The largest USSSA tournament ever. Good job team!
