Congratulations to the Calverton Spartans FC U17 Boys. The Spartans will advance to the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup Championships on July 17-19 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Although excessive rain caused the closing of the field for the regularly scheduled game, Coach Vargas led his team to a victory (6-3) over Delaware a week later in a rescheduled match of the Region I Presidents Cup Playoffs.
MSYSA would like to congratulate all Maryland teams that participated in the Presidents Cup. Our best to the Spartans as they represent Maryland in the 2009 US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup Championship.
