Calvert All Stars has programs for all ages and skill levels. Although we encourage all those who desire to join the Calvert All Stars to have some experience in either, cheerleading, dance, or gymnastics; it is not a requirement. Each individual is evaluated on their potential and the skills that they can bring to our teams. When we compete, our rival is our last performance at competition or practice. We strive to do better than the time before. Our members are not only our toughest critics but also our biggest source of support and encouragement.

Over the spring and summer months our teams focus on conditioning and perfecting their stunting and tumbling skills. In August, we begin choreographing our routines and finalizing plans for the competition season which begins in November. Once competition season begins CAS will attend, on average, two competitions per month through April. Competitions are held locally, regionally, and nationally. Travel is usually required for the national competitions we attend and can include, for example, destinations such as Orlando, Florida, Dallas, Texas, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Ocean City, Maryland, Rehobeth Beach, Delaware, and Atlantic City, New Jersey. Depending upon team placement, you could attend two to four national events during the season.

Comparably, Calvert All Stars is the least expensive all star program in Southern Maryland. However, quality is never compromised, as CAS is the only program in Calvert County that maintains a full size training facility and spring floor. Calvert All Stars provides fundraising opportunities for all our members to assist in offsetting the costs associated with their involvement. Fundraisers are provided every six weeks, participation is not mandatory but we do encourage that our members take full advantage of these opportunities as the profit from these fundraisers are deposited directly into each members account and can significantly reduce the "out-of-pocket" expense; profits are not "pooled" each member receives 100% of the profit they generate from their sales - CAS does not take a percentage of any member fundraising.

Each year CAS hosts the Southern Maryland Cheer Challenge. This event is attended by recreational and all star teams from around the state. The profits from this event are returned to our members in the form of reduced competition fees at national competitions, team transportation to national competitions, and facility upgrades.

If you chose to join the CAS Family, we do not expect you to make Calvert All Stars your top priority, but please understand that we do expect you to make it one of your priorities. We only ask for a couple hours a week of your time. Calvert All Stars is probably not right for you at this time, if you know you cannot make the commitment of a couple hours per week to our program.
