CA Junior All Stars win again; next game on Friday, July 10 @ Miller
The Cupertino American Junior All Stars edged Mountain View Little League on Wednesday night by a final score of 6-5. The CA Juniors' next game is Friday, July 10, 5:30 pm @ Miller. The opponent is either Sunnyvale National or Serra Little League. Please come out and help give CA a home-field advantage on Friday night!

Junior All Stars win, advance; 10/11 All Stars are eliminated
The Cupertino American Junior All Stars defeated Sunnyvale Southern on Monday night by a final score of 13-6. The Juniors next play versus Mountain View Little League on Wednesday, July 8, 5:30 pm at Kennedy Middle School. Also on Monday night, the CA 10/11 All Stars were eliminated by a talented Campbell Little League team, 17-0.

CA All Star teams drop games to tough opponents
The Cupertino American 11/12, 10/11, and 9/10 All Star teams all came out on the short end of games against traditionally strong District 44 teams on Friday, July 3. Coming off their big win over Sunnyvale Southern, the CA 11/12 All Stars faced Santa Clara Westside in an elimination game at Wilson Park. Santa Clara Westside got off to a quick start and never let up in a victory over the CA 11/12 All Stars. The final score was 19-0. In their first game of the tournament at Kennedy Middle School, the CA 10/11 All Stars were defeated by Los Altos, 15-3. The 10/11s next play on Monday, July 6, 5:30 pm, at McKelvey Field in Mountain View. Their opponent will be Campbell Little League. On the heels of their victory over Tri-Cities, the CA 9/10 All Stars took on Los Altos at Briarwood. The CA 9/10 team fell behind Los Altos early and was unable to get on the scoreboard. The final score was 10-0. The loss marks the end of the tournament for the 9/10 team.

Cupertino American Junior All Stars drop opener; next game: Monday
Cupertino American's Junior All Stars (13 and 14 year olds) lost their tournament opener to Sunnyvale National on Wednesday, July 1. The final score was 7-5. The Juniors next play on Monday, July 6, 5:30 pm at Los Altos High School. The opponent will be Sunnyvale Southern.

Cupertino American 9/10 & 11/12 All Stars both win, advance in their tournaments
Two Cupertino American all star teams posted big victories on Wednesday, July 1 to advance in their tournaments. At Kennedy Middle School, the 9/10 All Star team defeated Tri-Cities by a score of 11-6. CA took an early 7-1 lead, then answered a four-run Tri-Cities rally with four runs of their own to surge back ahead. The 9/10s will next play on Friday, July 3, at 5:30 pm @ Santa Clara Homestead/Carmichael Park. From the CA area, take Lawrence Expressway past Homestead and make a right on Benton. The park will be on your left after about a quarter mile (before you hit Pomeroy). At Briarwood, the 11/12 All-Star team rode solid pitching and clutch hitting (including several doubles, a triple, and a home run) to break open a close game. The final score: CA 10, Sunnyvale Southern 5. The 11/12 team next plays on Friday, July 3, 5:30 pm at Wilson Park. Monday, June 29
CA 9/10 All Stars lead late into the game, but come up short against Mountain View
The Cupertino American 9/10 All Stars, behind superb pitching and fielding, took a 1-0 lead into the fifth inning Monday night before Mountain View responded with 12 unanswered runs. The CA 9/10s next take the field on Wednesday, July 1, 5:30 pm at Kennedy Middle School. Their opponent will be Tri-Cities Little League. Please come out and support the CA 9/10s!

CA 9/10 All Stars win their opener; 11/12 All Stars fall to Los Altos
The Cupertino American 9/10 All Star team defeated the Cupertino National All Stars on Saturday, June 27. The final score was 33-3. The 9/10 All Stars next game is against Mountain View Little League on Monday, June 29 at 5:30. The site of the game is Washington Park in Sunnyvale (click for directions). The CA 11/12 (Major) All Stars lost to a talented Los Altos team by a score of 10-0. Their next game is at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, July 1 @ Santa Clara Briarwood. The opponent has yet to be determined. From the CA area, take Lawrence Expressway and make a right on Cabrillo (the first light after passing over El Camino). The park will be on the right side of the road.

Junior Cardinals drop TOC semi-final
The Cupertino American junior division Cardinals lost in the semi-finals of the District 44 Tournament of Champions to the Los Altos Rockies by a score of 14-3.
Sunday, June 21
Junior Cardinals win TOC opener, advance to semi-finals
Cupertino American's Junior Cardinals combined solid pitching and defense with a 4 run fourth inning to defeat the Cupertino National Twins by a final score of 4-1 on Saturday, June 20. The win advances the CA Cardinals to the semi-final round of the District 44 Tournament of Champions, an eight-team, single-elimination competition. Click here to view the TOC draw. Major Angels fall in TOC
The Major Angels lost their Touranment of Champions game to a powerful Mountain View Giants team on Tuesday, June 16, by a score of 15-0. Congratulations to the Angels on an outstanding season. Monday, June 15
Minor Yankees drop a close TOC game to Sunnyvale Metro, 6-4
The Cupertino American Minor Yankees lost a closely contested Tournament of Champions game to the Sunnyvale Metro Marlins on Monday, June 15 at Wilson Park. After falling behind 5-0 early in the game, the CA Yankees chipped away at the lead, closing to 6-4 in the bottom of the sixth and had two runners in scoring position when the final out was recorded. The game featured solid pitching and excellent fielding by both teams. Congratulations to the Minor Yankees on a fine season and a solid showing in the T.O.C.

Congratulations to the 9 year old team for a strong effort in the Campbell friendly tournament. After falling behind a hard-hitting Briarwood team by a score of 9-0, CA rallied for 6 runs to pull with 3. Angels win Major Championship
The Angels won the Major division championship with a come-from-behind 8-2 win over the Yankees on Closing Day. The Angels will represent Cupertino American in the District 44 Tournament of Champions this week. The Angels' first game: Tuesday, June 16, 5:30 pm versus Mountain View. The game will be at Homestead Park. From the CA area, take Lawrence Expressway past Homestead Road and make a right on Benton. The park will be on the left before Pomeroy. Please come support the Angels!

Yankees crowned as Minor champions
Congratulations to the Minor Yankees, who claimed the CALL championship with a close 11-7 win over the Minor Red Sox this week. The Minor Yankees will represent CALL at the District 44 Tournament of Champions, a single-elimination competition between the champions in local little leagues. Their first game: Monday, June 15, 5:30 pm @ Wilson Park (off Blaney) vs. Sunnyvale Metro. Please come out and support the Yankees!
