California Yankees: Welcome

The California Yankees Baseball Club
Where Champions are grown!
Since 1996, the California Yankees (formerly the Corona Yankees) have fielded 23 teams from 8U-14U. These teams have earned over 40 regional championships, 28 State Championships, 6 Cooperstown invitations (4 championship titles), and 13 World Series berths (3 World Series titles) including the recent championship victory by our 11U team in the CCYB world series. These Yankee teams have found success through the patient development of our players as opposed to continual recruiting like many other travel baseball organizations. When a player is accepted to the Yankees, he will enjoy a 100% commitment from the Coaching staff. Most of our Yankee alumni have moved on to enjoy successfull high school baseball careers, and names like Josh Romanski, Ian Hollick, and Eddie Quevedo are making their mark in the college baseball scene. Another Yankee alumni, James Simmons, was just selected in the first round of the MLB draft by the Oakland A's.
In 2008 we look forward to continuing our long standing tradition of playing an aggressive, disciplined, and strategic style of baseball. We currently have both 10U (born after 5/1/97) and 11U (born after 5/1/96) teams active for the upcoming 2008 season. Check out "my site news" for updated information on each team.
Please help us thank our sponsors by patronizing their businesses frequently.

Monday, August 11
After what seemed like an eternity, the rec ball season is over and now it's time to get back to some serious Yankee Baseball in preparation for the St Augustine Fall Nationals. Things are really shaping up nicely for the 2 day Yankee Camp on August 16 & 17, with former Major leager Brian Turang signing on for an infield clinic on Saturday morning and a team speed and agility assement to be conducted by Reno Bellamy on Sunday. there will also be lots of good ole Yankee style drill work, an intersquad game and a family BBQ.
We still have 1-2 opennings, especially for a hard hitting 1B or Catcher, so make sure to get the word out to any prospects that may be interested in having us take a look at their skills.
