The California Waves 18U Gold Fastpitch team is based out of Oxnard, CA. The Waves organization has a long successful history and has been around for apx. 24 years. OUR FOCUS IS COLLEGE EXPOSURE with the main goal for every player to obtain an academic and or athletic scholarship and graduate from college. Our players come from as far north as San Luis Obispo to Thousand Oaks to Los Angeles to Granada Hills. With all of our players come from different cities these players have been able to become a close net group on and of the field.
Ca Waves will be attending the top College Exposure tournaments in Fall 2008 and Summer 2009. Our season is very aggressive as you can preview our season under Waves News. We are confirmed in these showcase events and plan to compete in 2 or 3 ASA 18u Gold National Qualifing tournaments.
CA Waves Welcomes Two New Coaches
Kelly Dikes who played for Friends University in Kansas and in Holland for 3 years will be working with the pitchers and assisting with the infield.
Amanda Davidison returns to the Waves after playing for Radford Unviversity in Virginia and will be working with the Outfield and the teams conditioning.

2005 WAVES TAKE SECOND IN CANADA CUP !!!
The Waves placed second in the consolation bracket against teams from the UNITED STATES, CANADA,and CHINA. The Waves played nine games before losing a 1-0 eight-inning international tiebraker against the ASA EXTREME from WASHINGTON. Three games were played in the rain and the Waves defeated teams from BRITISH COLUMBIA, ALASKA, AND CALIFORNIA. The Waves allowed less than two per game.
