California District 53: Welcome
For players ages 4 - 16, District 53 offers Little League Baseball and Girl's Fast-Pitch Softball and also includes an Intermediate (50/70) program and a Junior and Senior League program for both sports. District 53 was formed in 1966 and reconfigured in 1973, again in 2007 and lastly in 2016. It is the proud home of 14 Leagues from Solano, and Napa counties. These leagues include: American Canyon, Benicia, Calistoga, Cordelia Tri-Valley, Fairfield Atlantic, Fairfield Pacific, Napa American, Napa National, St. Helena, Sonoma, Suisun American, Vallejo American, Vallejo National and Yountville. District 53 has a meeting of all leagues each month. The meetings are normally held the fourth Thursday of each month and cover a wide range of topics including New President Orientation, Player Agent Training, Scorekeeping Basics, Umpire Basics and Post-Season Information. The meeting is hosted by a different league each month with the host league providing dinner at 6:30 prior to the meeting start time of 7:00. Starting on January 1, 2018, all Tee Ball bats in the Little League Baseball® Tee Ball program must feature the USA Baseball mark and accompanying text. Tee Ball bats that were produced and/or purchased prior to the implementation of the new standard can be certified using an Approved Tee Ball Sticker via the USA Baseball Tee Ball Sticker Program for use with approved Tee Ball baseballs for Little League play. Tee Ball bats for Little League Softball® Tee Ball programs must follow the Little League Softball Official Regulations, Playing Rules, and Policies.
2018 Bat Rules - updated as of February 15, 2018

There is no list of approved softball bats. In softball, the bat only needs to meet the specifications of Rule 1.10 (Softball) - updated as of February 15, 2018
