Phil Bruder's Softball Skills Clinic

 For:      Girls Ages 8 to 16 Years

 When:  Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 

 Time:   9:00am to 4:00pm

Location: Lakewood

Cost:  Only $75 ($70 if register before Jan. 5th)

EXPERIENCED COACHING STAFF will train you on the following:

Hitting, slapping, bunting, in-fielding and out-fielding, base running and sliding, proper throwing technique as well as pitching and catching instruction for those interested!

ALL SKILLS: Designed for all ages. Skills to be covered include basic fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing, and base-running. Groups will be divided by skill level. CLASS A: Designed for “A” level athletes ages 10 and up. Advanced skills to be covered include slapping, bunting, diving, situational hitting and base-running, crow hops, double plays, relays, throwing on the run, etc. ADVANCED HITTING: Divided into “B” for all ages, and “Gold” for Elite travel players. “Gold” athletes will be facing pitching at 50-62 mph. Skills to be covered include bunt for a hit, power hitting, situational hitting, slap-hitting (from both sides), reading pitchers, etc. PITCHING: Designed for all ages. Instructors will cover basic mechanics, speed, change-ups, and movement pitches. CATCHING: Designed for all ages. Skills to be covered include blocking, framing, pop-ups, bunts, throw downs, and pick-offs. Designed for all ages. Skills to be covered include basic fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing, and base-running. Groups will be divided by skill level. CLASS A: Designed for “A” level athletes ages 10 and up. Advanced skills to be covered include slapping, bunting, diving, situational hitting and base-running, crow hops, double plays, relays, throwing on the run, etc.

 The primary goal of the coaching staff is to provide a solid foundation that focuses on the fundamental teaching of the game of softball. We are dedicated to teaching the mental game along with the physical skills to become better all-around athletes by fostering commitment, dedication, teamwork and sportsmanship while developing skills necessary to compete both regionally and nationally.
